    The flash point is the temperature at which the fragrance may ignite. It is NOT the temperature at which you should add fragrance oil to your wax.

    The most difficult thing about making candles and the reason I stopped making them is deciding on what type of wick to use. I understand the jar size but not the wick core vs. wooden wicks, and types of wax.

    • @bramble-berry
      @bramble-berry  4 года назад +2

      So glad you like it! No, we do not recommend using Color Blocks in candles. Color Blocks are highly concentrating pieces of melt and pour soap, which will not work well. We highly recommend our Candle Dye Flakes! Like Color Blocks, all you need to do is add them to melted wax and stir.

    Hi, can u substitute the fragrance oil, maybe with essential oil? And how to dilute it?

    • @truthreignsfacts4997
      @truthreignsfacts4997 3 года назад +2

      Essential oils in candles gets really tricky! They are very costly and have mediocre results. The reason is that many essential oils are made up of many chemicals ie. Terpenes, alcohols, ketones, aldehydes etc. Example! Lavender contains a high concentration of linalyl acetate and linalool plus many other constituents. The hot throw is quite poor on these ingredients, so the cost per performance of essential oils is poor. Patchouli & cedar wood are very good because they are relatively cheap but have very good performance.

    does higher altitude affect wax temp? I live in high altitude and can't seem to get the temp of the soy wax past 175 degrees. Any suggestions?

    • @truthreignsfacts4997
      @truthreignsfacts4997 3 года назад +1

      If your concern is to add the fragrance, 170 degrees is sufficient. Just hold the temperature at 170 degrees and stir. Most fragrances supplied by fragrance houses design the fragrances for higher temperature since more volatile fragrances (lower flash point) add other technical issues.

    15 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
    2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
    3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
