anybody still listen to this song at night, when everyone in your house is asleep, and its pitch black in your room. the only sound is the beautiful melody coming from this song and your soft sobs. this song has a meaning. i do not know what that meaning is, but this song was made for a reason. as i go through the comments i see a bunch of sad, and happy comments. this song, has cured depression and anxiety for most. i cannot put in words how much this song has helped me. :) stay strong everyone.

My little sister is deaf in one ear. She’s 8. One day, she might be deaf in both. Me and the rest of my siblings live with the fear that one day, if any of us get hit hard enough in the head, or get hit just the right way, we could go deaf in an instant. We don’t know if that’ll happen for sure, we can’t test it, and only our dad works (as a pastor) so it’s not like we’d have enough money to figure it out anyway. At any point in time, I could go deaf, and I have to live with that. Hearing, my friend, is a gift, that I will clutch on to tightly and hope it never wrenches itself from my grasp.

Kylie Daly well Queen didn’t use computers they put tracks on the same recorded overlapping the sound because technology wasn’t that advanced then and they also used things that weren’t instruments to make the music to make different sounds. They also wanted the crowd to be involved with the music so created songs the people can preform like We Will Rock You. The band also had a very strong bond and worked together to make the music which gave it even more meaning. This is what I believe is real music.

I wanted to reply to this even if its never seen. I thought the same exact thing as I listened. But to further that thought place yourself at the moment of passing and imagine yourself sailing through the endless dark of space on your journey to the gates of Heaven. And on the Journey Venetian Snares - Colorless would be echoing through the darkness. At least that is what I picture.
I have always imagined all of Sleeping at Last songs to be the sounds of the universe. If there is anything I'd imagine the universe with all its cosmic wonders to sound like, in a flow of notes and tunes, I'd say it's this music. It's like an awakening. To listen to them is like floating through the universe watching nebulae, planets and the cosmos all variety of cosmic wonders around you. This feeling is truly underrated. A feeling of awe of wonder that makes me wanna live and realize that there's so much more to our lives than mere trivialities we agonize over. Thank you for giving us the sounds of the universe when our tiny worlds within the same are falling apart.Your music is a legacy and I'm glad I live to witness it 💜

You close your eyes as you smell the air of nature and that view of the earth is still in your mind as you slowly starts to pass away. But you leave the earth smiling knowing how beautiful life was.

I lost my bestfriend.. we went to the same school. Then over summer he told me he was moving. I remember just hurting and wishing it was all a prank. Short story about me
I was in a severe depression
Couldn’t feel anything, nor sadness more happiness. Couldn’t cry for a few years at all. Couldn’t feel happy. It was awful. This may sound contradicting but it’s like you feel immense pain from not feeling any pain or anything at all. Anyway, I was basically dying emotionally. I found this song by accident. But I found the 1 hours version not the original. Turned it on. At night. I cried the whole hour that it played. For the first time in like 4 years. I WAS SOBBING. it’s like this song woke my heart up or something. Ever since that happened i revisit this song. I can’t even explain what happens to me when I hear this melody. Like my heart starts to ache but also starts to feel like it’s being freed. I’ve never experienced something like this until I found this melody.
I have always felt somewhat alone in life. Be it my philosophical outlook or always having my head in the clouds, but I have always felt out of place. Sort of like my world is slightly shifted. But, with this music I feel free. I cannot describe how perfect this music, instrumental or not, describes how I feel and how my soul looks like. And I am always amazed when reading the comments to see how many people there are that enjoy this type of music and feel this calmness within. I'm just so happy to know that there are some who see so much beauty in the world and its potential, regardless of what may be happening at the moment.

Ryan always makes me able to burst out in tears and make me feel things I didn't even know I could. He made me aware of the small but also greater beautiful things in life. As I hear this song I reminisce at the pictures of my kids when they were small in kindergarten. How fast time flew and now there in college and working. Everytime I listen to this song. I imagine a new race being woke up for the first time, experiencing the sounds of the world, looking around hearing the river run, the leafs rustle, the sound of their own voice, finding every new sound they can and being happy in their innocence. Untill the very end where the music stops so abruptly ending their short time on this world and ending the era of hearing.

I get sad when i hear this song, but i also get motivated to keep going and not stop in my track. A sad song like this dont make me depressed like many, it empowers me like nothing else can. I've noticed that sadness is not the same as depression because sadness is only for the moment and depression is not. After sadness comes happiness and calm for me. Im happy to just be here and live even if many things can be shitty. But understand that if you feel bad over something or if you're depressed, you know you're alive. Being sad makes us appreciate happiness and good things more. So i beg you, dont take the good things for granted in life because you wont be happy all the time. It's a feeling you strive for but cant feel all the time, which is a good thing if you think about it.

The videos are of people who have lived most of their lives without sound, who just had cochlear implants installed in their ears and turned on, allowing them to hear sound for the very first time. It’s incredibly beautiful. So after watching every video I could find of that amazing, life-changing experience, I decided that I wanted this song to be the soundtrack to that experience, to sort of be a film score of sorts for some of those wonderful videos. I watched this compilation over and over as I wrote. (I agree with him)
