- Take a behind-the-scenes look at "The Corners of the Earth", what it takes to make a film in a location as harsh as Kamchatka, and what camera technology Director/ Cinematographer Spencer Frost and team used to achieve these shots.
Using RED's V-RAPTOR, GEMINI, and KOMODO - Spencer and the team set out to document one of the last wild and remote coastlines on the planet - The Kamchatka Peninsula in the far east of Russia- in search of new waves along the frozen unexplored coastline.
►SUMMARY Filmmakers Spencer Frost and Guy Williment and surfers Letty Mortensen and Fraser Dovell embark on an extraordinary journey to the remote Kamchatka Peninsula in Russia. Seeking new waves along the frozen and unexplored coastline, the team faces challenges, including the unexpected backdrop of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Undeterred, they discover unexpected humanity amidst adversity, navigating through frozen landscapes and logistical obstacles. The surf trip transforms into an unforgettable adventure, highlighting the resilience and surprising kindness behind the Iron Curtain.

Just occured to me but how does the V-Raptor not over heat in a underwater housing? Because its circulating its own air right that it must be heating up? I realise in this case the surrounding water is freezing, but in warm weather.
Didn't overheat at all mate! @saltysurfhousings worked a treat!
Thanks, in hot climates ok without airflow recirculating its own warm air?@@spencerfrostfilms

Amazing project, stunning shots but huge disappointment to see a collaboration with russians.
Some amazing people over there helped us pull together this project - you might have to visit someday and see for yourself :)
