I was fortunate enough to live in the very heart of Piraeus for almost three years. It brings me to tears of nostalgia watching this. No matter where I am, my heart is always here. These streets were my daily companion and these were the best years of my life. And I say that even though part of my stay was under the Covid lockdowns. Thank you for taking me back and helping me to visualize till I get to come back again!!! :)
It's great to hear that you have such fond memories of your time in Piraeus, even during the challenging Covid lockdowns. Places can have a strong emotional impact on us, and it's wonderful that you were able to appreciate the beauty and charm of the city. I hope you get to visit again soon and make even more wonderful memories!
This seems to be a very nice place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!
Huge thanks to Mayor Mr Moralis. Piraeus was always since it's birth the poorest part of Greece. Only now is it trying to claim it's deserved place as Greece's new Powerhouse. Never in it's history was Piraeus so clean, so green, so rich. And it's only the beginning.
Love the fact that you covered lots of my home town by foot. A herculian task to do in its totality as the three ports of Pireas are many kilometres in circumference. Pireas is much more of a humane city than Athens and has some unique views towards the sea and to nearby Faliro bay. Very nice of you to show some of the best and central spots of the city. I do have a suggestion though. To make a video also by afternoon and early in the evening starting from Hadjikyriakeio by the orphanage to the tavernas then cross towards Piraiki and end at the top of Castella Hill or the Prophet Elias Hill if you prefer. Where you must show the great night view towards all the Athenian Riviera and Faliro bay all the way to Athens. A view to a kill and probably the best in all of Attica. I think you should have pointed out more of the 2 new metro stations in the city center near the city hall and the other in the main port by the electric train that connects Piraeus to Athens and Kifisia. Hope the tram that will soon begin its operation make the transportation inside the city even quicker cleaner and result in a city were the traffic is far less.
Thank you for your feedback. I appreciate your suggestion for a video tour of Piraeus in the afternoon and evening, and your recommendation to highlight the new metro stations and upcoming tram service. Thank you again for your input!

Hi Vitali. I lived here for many years from 1980 and I can tell that Piraeus has changed a lot since I was there . It has become a very beautful city and the weather is gorgeous.!! Hope you visit this place soon.
@@strollingreece thank you!! Do you happen to know if the port of Piraeus has luggage storage? When I backpacked through Europe most of the train stations had that option.

How far is the ferry area from the beautiful waterfront and restaurants? Walkable or a taxi ( with a suitcase)?
It's about 15 minutes walk or you could take a local bus since it would be a very short ride for a taxi.
Hope it helps!
