The sound is REAL Brother...no fake noise and it does have a Launch Control....a few steps for this to activate.
The way you laugh during a pull makes me laugh. I do the exact same every time with my x3 m40i! 👍
😂😂😂
I hope will do soon in the netherlands
I've got the MX on Tachikoma but I have to reset it too often, and with it being inside the dash I don't do that enough. Sometimes it needs an unplug-replug too
Thanks for the video!
-- Haven't had my 2021 US M40i very long, but am pretty sure I saw (ASD Volume low/medium/high) in the iDrive menu.. Maybe yours was already set low, so not much difference?
-- Also, according to forum posts, the stereo sounds better with ASD disabled.
I’ll have to check that. Thank you!
you do have launch control, it works with the brake pedal in sport plus mode
Yep! Was going to say the same thing. Around TWO and half thousand RPM. Maybe 3,000.
My Dad didn’t quite want to turn off the ASD (he doesn’t mind it) but I went into expert mode and changed it to have the S58 sound from the X3M and he likes it a lot better
Do you have the coding for this change? It sounds interesting.
Wait what ?
Great video is this your stock exhaust???
It’s my fiancés car. It’s completely stock, yes. The exhaust sounds very good tho 🔥
@@CarsAndKyleVlogs enjoy itt verry good car
Just wondering ! It’s not gonna drain the battery , right? Because it’s look like the light is always on. Tnx
I don't leave it plugged in to the OBDII port. I remove it after I flash whatever code changes
He means the “ASS Light” not the obdII adapter light. As for the ASS amber led, It turns off but even if it did stay on it would not drain your battery.
Have you found out any more about this? Just ordered our X3 M40i. Thanks for the videos.
I haven’t found anything else out about the active sound design. Not that’d we would keep it disabled if it did anything. Half the fun is hearing all the engine and exhaust noises 🤙🏽🔥
I had this on my Audi. When I coded the active sound out, there was much less engine sound and more exhaust, but not a massive difference.
Maybe it just applies to the 4 cylinder x3 and not the m40
Good point that could be it! The m40i definitely has a nice exhuast note outside the car 👌🏽
Just bought a 2021. Salesman says active exhaust sound cannot be turned off regardless of coding.
That’s interesting. I appreciate the info 🤙🏽
@@CarsAndKyleVlogs your great test video confirms that. Thanks for sharing. You're really good at RUclips.
@@CarsAndKyleVlogs all M cars now have it - M-Sport, M-performance, & M Division.
You can pull the fuse out and it will turn it off
ASD is a nice idea, but it doesn't sound good. What year is your car?
I believe it’s a 2020
BimmerCode is doing nothing. You have vehicle setting - general - engine sound, you can put into reduced. All in all i think the car is too loud for long trips. I love the power, but this is good for some aggressive ride, can't imagine 5h drive with kids inside.
