  • Radio coverage of the morning when Princess Diana died. The recording starts at approximately ten minutes to six (british time) with a short statement from BFBS in Germany, before the station joins BBC for their coverage. The events of the night are summed up as far as they were known at the time, and we are able to listen to several personal statements from the following individuals: William Hague, James Callaghan, Michael Cole (Director of public affairs for Harrods), Tim Carstairs (Mines Advisory Group), journalist Annique(?) Covan(?) of LeMonde, Richard Harries (Bishop of Oxford), journalist Simon Jenkins (The Times and The Guardian), Henry Kissinger, Victor Adebowale (Centrepoint Helpline) and Bill Deedes (politician and journalist).
