    まず居合刀の中に真剣と模造刀があります。さらに模造刀の中に観賞用と居合道で使う2つ模造刀に分けられています。この動画で紹介されているのは、模造刀の中でも居合で使用可能な、居合模造刀です。

They're made of a Zink/Aluminum alloy. Made un-sharpened for sword practitioners. An iaito is an un-sharpened blade, where as a shinken is fully functional sharpened blade made for cutting. As a Toyama Ryu practitioner, we use both types. An Iaito for practice and the shinken for cutting tatami mats.

A great craftmanship and quality! I was personally at Minosaka 2023 in the summer and got introduced into the way of making these famous Iaitos. It was an amazing and interesting experience to see how these High Quality Swords were made. I ordered at that day my own customized Iaito and got it two months later. Everything worked fine with the shipping and when I finally held my Custom Iatio in my hands I was very touched and felt myself privilleged to be able to posses such an incredible beautiful work made in Gifu/Japan by such great people!
Thank you so much for all of your effort and customer service. Minosaka will be on my next travell to Japan for sure and I wish you all the best!

      1) They are not that soft and handel light to avg blows.
2)idc how dull it is, you hit someone hard enough with an edged hunk of mass, it will break bones.
3)the tips are pointy enough to run someone through

Because these are cast steel swords (not forged) for practice. They would be too brittle to actually use as a real sword. Basically, molten metal is poured into a mold in the rough shape of a sword. So it is inferior to a forged sword. Nope. These are iaito, made by a zinc and aluminum alloy and can't be sharpened.

Obviously you know nothing about japanese swords. Iaito is a practice sword just like in the video and shinken is the one sharpened for cutting
