Wonderful - Truly is the easiest way to tie the knot. Usually messed this knot up trying to use other instructional ways. Thanks from an old man who has just taken up this hobby.
I always mess up the regular double diamond method and reasently I made a paraflatman by your tutorial with the double diamond knot using a regular diamond knot and doubling it with another cord on a fid it worked out good but it was extremely hard to pass the cord in the right places. this method of the diamond knot is great it makes this beautiful knot easy and fun to tie. great video like always
Just followed along and tied this on my Brisa Bobtail with curly birch wood grip, using tan and green cord. Left the tails at about 2 inches each for visual balance. Beautiful! Thank you, sir!
Very nice knot. I find that when you pass the working end back through the middle of the knot at 2:22, if you go around behind the standing end first and down through the middle, the knot centers better on the cord.
That's certainly way faster to tie and to tighten (dress) than a true double diamond knot. But lacks the perfect symmetry of the true DD. I might find a use for it, but I just don't like the cords coming out at an off center place in the knot. It's neat that you figured this out, but... I don't think it's for me. Thank you for sharing in any case.
For sure! I sometimes use those interchangeably without noticing, but I do agree I should only use one or the other. I think I will stick with "running end" and "standing end".
Oh good grief... I been tying that single strand Diamond knot like this for ages now... I don't know why I didn’t realize that while watching this... it was when I went to tie a double like this that I realized I already knew this way to tie a Diamond knot! Never thought about doing it as a double before though! lol... I’m such a dingbat...
Man, how do you avoid your paracord to basically twist? When i saw this initially i was like, well this looks pretty easy, but as soon as i started, with 2 difrent colours mind you, the paracord twists and when im arround the second loop, the paracord has switched orders/place.
I tried doing this version. It didnt work, it wasnt holding any good form after tying it. Finally I did the "classic one" on "How To Tie A Double Diamond Knot" on "WhyKnot" channel....
I just realized something.... I tie my snake knots completely backwards from the way you do it... I start mine with the knot with the strand in my right hand go around the strand on the left and then take it and go through the loop I made with the right hand strand! It’s the same knot, just mirrored...
There's definitely more than one way to tie the snake knot for sure! I don't even think I tie them the same every time, just depends on what I happen to do at the moment. lol
The single strand diamond knot is somewhat asymmetrical in that the cord at the top and bottom of the knot don't really come out of the center of the knot.
I've watched several of your diamond knot and variants videos, and I always struggle with the "cinch it down" part. No matter what I do, I end up pulling on the cords and ending up with a knotted mess (and not the good kind). It just doesn't fall together correctly, and I get a knot with lots of loops coming out of it in various angles that are very hard to close up. That's assuming I get the lines in the right place, which I only sometimes pull off. On this version, also, it looks like the different structure means that if the standing end is not attached to something but is just a loop, it doesn't have anywhere to cinch down on and will just pull through the knot. I'm trying to make larger stoppers for the paracord mask band ear saver (ruclips.net/video/af08ip-k_zA/видео.html) so the end result won't have a standing end. Any advice? Or a video on "cinching down"? It seems like it gets glossed over as something I should know, but that's by far the hardest part of the whole project. (The cobra knots were easy to pick up.)
if you know how to do wall knots with three or more strands, try with two and its a snake knot, after that you should be able to see where you are messing up w/ the flat method most people show on videos

Wow! I’ve been struggling with a double diamond for a while, and this is a good replacement for my tool lanyards I make for work. Thank you!
You're welcome!
Surprisingly simple! Thank you. Looks like I will have the double diamond plus snake nuts on a lot of things.

I love how you made it so easy to do. Now I will have to improvise this pattern with 8 strands.

sheer genius

I'll have to try that, thanks for the tip Scott!
Hi I really like this way, great knot
Nice. I just do it for my crkt pryma in coyote brown and look awesome. Quick, easy and beautiful. 👍
Sounds great!

I have tried this 2 times but I get lost in working out the slag. Your vidieo's are absolutely great. I guess I just have a case of knotters blues..
Thnx a lot hun! I tried it on my first monkey fist I just finished with your video 😘
Glad it helped!
Love this one. Going to try tt his one today 👌
Great tutorial , thanks for sharing , God bless !
I am always interested in the things laying around on the desk: knife, flashlight, wallet(?) etc., as well as the paracording
I've never tried a double diamond, I will definitely be using it
Let's try. This is very easy technic
👍 Thank you

Great skill. Thank you for this tutorial
You are welcome!
Some of my weave was get in some of your tutorial. Thank again
You hit 500k! Congrats my man
Thank you!
Yes that's a very cool knot. It's better looking, more organized than that stuffy old double diamond.
Thanks man
You're welcome!
I really like this way of doing the knot and will definitely gift a couple of these off to family and friends 🙏🏼
By far the easiest way to tie the DD knot. I think it is close enough!
Thats a great knot because you can do that with a single stand if you want
Awesome!
I love it
Excellent! Both”running end” and “terminal end” are descriptive, but could you stick to one or the other?
Thanks for doing these!
For sure! I sometimes use those interchangeably without noticing, but I do agree I should only use one or the other. I think I will stick with "running end" and "standing end".
Please make a video about how to wrap a nite ize doohickey plus. Thank you so much!
Finally early, love your vids man, keep it up
Thank you and I most definitely will!
Would there any chance that I could have a closer look at the stainless steel beads? Did you make it yourself?
Hey, I didn't make those. They are the Aroundsquare MKUltra Komboloi beads. I reviewed them here: ruclips.net/video/H-pTkL-CTGw/видео.html
@@TheWeaversofEternity Thank you
WHERE DO YOU GET THOSE BEADS?!?! I am being so serious. I want them
Very good paracord. Like 43. 💚🇧🇷
Nice 🍺🍺😉🤘
I wonder if a single strand Diamond knot could me tied this way as well... may have to play around with that!

Beautiful knot!
Also nice to see my name in your patreons list, but you forgot to put the n before the ck!
Keep on weaving!
😲... sorry about that! I'll be sure to correct it in the next video. Thanks for your support on Patreon Roel!
@@TheWeaversofEternity No problem! Love the extra patreon content!
At first awesome vids. What Knife is that in the first shot?
Beautiful knot. Inspires me to have a go. But I think your lighter is too hot for that job 😂
I tried doing this version. It didnt work, it wasnt holding any good form after tying it. Finally I did the "classic one" on "How To Tie A Double Diamond Knot" on "WhyKnot" channel....
How does this knot turn out with 2 colours?

I tried this with a single strand of paracord but it looks rather asymmetrical..
The single strand diamond knot is somewhat asymmetrical in that the cord at the top and bottom of the knot don't really come out of the center of the knot.
@@TheWeaversofEternity Noted, will try on the double strands and stick to the normal diamond knot for the smaller version. Thanks!
@@DesmondSG The double strand version is similar, but I guess because of the two strands it's slightly less apparent. You're welcome!

I put a cobra knot instead of a snake knot because me and snake knots don’t go good together

This knot doesn't work. It's not symmetric and doesn't form a proper sphere.
You didn't tighten it right. It is simple and very pleasing to look at. IMHO
