The Rainy Day Bakery series brings me peace and joy. I always fall asleep to them, but I have recently taken to listening to them during the day. If I have anxiety or feel lonely, I will turn them on and imagine I am at the bakery with familiar friends. Thank you for creating community with this series. ❤
A dream come true.....carrot cake at a bakery with a cuppa, a rainy autumn day with rolling thunder, candlelight and the sound of Thomas' voice in my ear. Thomas, you and the team passed the test! Last night I went to bed an hour earlier than usual. Woke up at 4am wide awake. I thought “there’s no way Get Sleepy will put me back to sleep being this wide awake”. I started doom scrolling on my phone. Then I realized this would be a perfect test for the Get Sleepy team. I was awake long enough to hear probably 1/2 the story, then it was lights out for me! I just woke up at my usual time all refreshed. A+++ for the team! Thank you! ❤
Whoever writes these stories really brings them to life and imagination. And Thomas voice makes it even better. These stories are comforting and helps me and my kid get to sleep easier.
Thank you so much! Just discovered this series while recovering at home. It’s been a rainy few days here so this is perfect. I’ve loved every one of them. They remind me of my grandmother and mother who loved to bake sweets. I have a tin of my grandmothers old recipes. Think I’ll dig it out and read through them. I’m up watching on my TV now but have been listening the last few nights on my iPhone. I’ve also shared with friends who aren’t regular RUclipsrs. What a gift. Ahhh…
I think what I love about these Rainy Day Bakery stories are two things: 1. It’s present tense. It helps me feel like I’m really there, in this snug, safe pocket dimension. 2. Lily’s relentless optimism. She finds the good in the little things, and treasures them. She even looks back on previous “disaster cakes” and smiles at how silly it probably was. It’s such a good reminder to really take the little things into account, and when you look for them, there’s actually quite a lot to make you smile. Noticing yourself noticing things is so, so helpful in staying grounded, even during tough days 😊 So it’s like I’m being reminded to treasure the tiny things, while being present tense in these adorable stories. It helps me remember to think about the small things that make me happy right now…like being able to listen to these snuggly stories. I just love it ❤ Thank you so much!

The rainy day bakery series are my favorites. Maybe because I come from a family whose home always smelled like bread or cakes or pies. The fudge thing was my mom all over again. Warm fuzzies… cozy and calming. I can almost feel my mom tucking me in. And I am 74 years old!! Still miss my mom, tho. 👩👦🧡

As a new subscriber, I can honestly say I can't get enough of the stories that include rain, especially The Rainy Day Bakery series. Shady is a wonderful writer, these stories make me feel like I'm actually there, and Thomas' voice and story telling skills are the best I've ever experienced, always easing my mind, and putting me into a deep slumber. I greatly appreciate the hard work of everybody at Get Sleepy, as it is not very easy most nights to get to sleep. I suffer from anxiety, depression, p.t.s.d, & insomnia, and it's nice to have the stories from Thomas and everybody at Get Sleepy to help me relax and get to sleep some nights. Carrot cake has to be my absolute favorite, although I can't really imagine it with pineapple, only had it the "traditional" way with walnuts & raisins. Thank you to everyone at Get Sleepy, you really are extremely helpful, and give me a gentle nudge into sleep whenever I can't do it on my own. 🥱🛏🌙🌧🛌😴
