    Sub grades are the best parts of BGS slabs to me, but really appreciate the science experiment and sub fees you went through to make this! Glad to see so many of these from older vids get the grades they deserve.

      I agree with ya…subgrades are the best part about Beckett. In hindsight I probably should have got them. I was just being cheap at the time, and felt most of the cards just weren’t high end enough 🤪

      I feel that it’s the new graders that are giving the lower grades. If I were to start there and work, I would want to make sure when they look at my work they see that I’m harder than easier and wouldn’t give excess gem mint grades to everyone. I think the older graders are the ones that let slight imperfections slide as they know what production flaws aren’t the fault of the customer.

    First I have seen someone return labels to PSA to have deactivated from registry which good practice. You should put a note in that you had them correctly graded through BGS and the each card grade difference to show them how much inconsistencies they have as result of inexperienced graders. Well done on true estimated grades vs actual with BGS. Unfortunately most were push on value increase even with higher BGS grade by the time you factor in additional grading fee. This shows that PSA is doing what people claim, they grade down to grade fast.
    This gives them the benefit of looking like a harder grader when really they are just the more inconsistent grader.
    I read that PSA averages like 10 seconds a card. That means they are not louping cards. The graders are simply glancing quickly at cards in this price range and slapping fast grades that are more illogical.

    When they talk about Gem Rates , does that include BGS 9.5 ? I feel that PSA give out more 10's than anybody else but maybe not more Gems. I have watched a lot of reveals from all kinds of graders and no doubt , in my mind , PSA give out a lot more 10's. Numbers can be twisted around with misleading Gem Rates. Case in point , what does PSA give a 9.5 card, a card that's almost perfect ? We know that BGS gives it a 9.5 so , is a PSA 10 really a 10 ?

    • @littlevictoriessportscards197
      @littlevictoriessportscards197  8 месяцев назад

      If grading through Beckett then a 9.5 is considered gem mint. And included when talking gem rates 👍 I personally feel like PSA does not give out more gems than other companies. People just grade with PSA 12x twelve times more than the other companies, so you just see more 10’s. And I’d say 80% of the time PSA gives a ‘9.5’ card a mint 9. And 20% of the time they give it a gem 10.

      Yeah, I recommend getting/paying for the subgrades on the more higher end stuff 👍 But most of the cards in this order were just lower end $10-30 buck stuff, so I couldn’t justify another $5 per card. Plus in the end I really just wanted an overall grade for self validation 😅 Thanks for viewing as always…I appreciate it!

    I understand what you're doing in the grade is better because it's in a Beckett and it a higher grade but at 8 psia is it back at 9 in price so they're still the same price point if you buy them on eBay only if you get a nine-point-five then you may have a price jump and it won't be that high I don't think I did that a few times myself and it wasn't worth it in the long run

    Every Reveal video including mine of PSA is being very harsh. I noticed all my cards /5 or /10 is getting a lot of 8's or less. I'm the toughest critic of sending into PSA as I review under direct light along with close magnifying glasses at least 5 times before I send in. Can't believe I'd get 6's, 7's and 8's. All the new hires PSA gets in seems to be very inexperienced. Too bad there isn't a industry standard auditor to keep them legitimate. Ya I feel PSA is overwhelmed and is pushed to get the orders out that just means the quantity over quality really shows the PSA monster in the hobby! GL

    This is why i don't get why the hobby uses PSA as the standard. Beckett is always more consistent and accurate. PSA has always been inconsistent. It goes from overly easy to get 10's to mint/gem mint cards getting 5/6's. You can even just keep resubmitting 8's/9's until they get a 10; yet huge premium for it. I don't get it.
