Love the honesty here. Im with you. When i started statue collecting, it was all impulsive buy. Most of the characters that i bought doesnt have any connection to me. Glad sold them those unlikeable ones (xm elektra, xm mysterio, xm black panther) replace it with my favorite ones. I also learned that the smaller footprint the better

i remember i got rid of a (cell saga) sj goku doing a kamehameha which i loved dearly, but i did because that buyer was willing to get of my hands a (frieza saga) vegeta which looked too slim and too boring of a pose standing straight, many people like that vegeta suit but that thing looks dumb as fuck if its not a flying pose, saiyan saga vegeta looks cool because he has the 9000 eyeglass and his hair is a little wilder, but that regular ass vegeta got to go. i paid 15 for goku it was a steal and 40 for the vegeta and i ended up selling both for 60. If you ever buy a vegeta figure listen to me just get a majin vegeta please

Rule of thumb...when you see a new piece. Let it soak in for a few days before you pull that trigger. I'm really loving the new Pre-Order piece "Superman - Call to Action Premium". Been thinking this one over for a few days now...really looks like a nice piece....I'm going to think it over a few more days before I pull the trigger though. I love the 'classic' look of this piece..it's more aligned with the Superman I grew up on.

Great video. Something similar with reviewer-relationships happened to me some years back with an armor manufacturer who was making pieces helmet pieces for a popular property. Their pieces were just bland and overpriced for the sculpting of the metal work at the time. I was supposed to meet them, review them, etc at a big convention event but I didn't believe in their pieces and spent the time doing something else instead. I'm fine with the decision although in hindsight I'd change my execution of it now. But I didn't believe in their stuff enough to want to see more than I had already seen. Ooooo boy did the guy from that company light me up for that one.... lmao! I don't blame him considering I chose not to participate in an invited event that was solely intended for me - chalk it up to learning. But on the other hand if you aren't honest and you say that everything is great all the time, then you are just a shill. I probably walked from a free Iron Man helmet on that one too, but at least I stuck to the belief's I had put out there about those pieces. In that situation I'd still do the same thing, but now I'd execute on it much differently than I did back then.

I myself avoiding these "expensive" statues, because in my country ppl don't even have money to buy omnibuses, so if I get bored with one $1000 statue, I couldn't sell it to anyone. And honestly right now I don't have that kind of money either. You got me into collection these big books, and until I'm not finished collecting the omnis I want, not gonna spend money on a statue which is only candy for the eyes. But I hope one day I would buy a beautiful piece.

Looks like I started collecting 1/4 scale around the same time as you. Green Lantern PF was my first PO and then Hulk v Wolverine. So far I feel like I’ve pretty lucky and only have purchased characters that I love or have a connection with. However I have been thinking about parting with Batman PF and Bane because 90% of my collection is Marvel but I really love that Bane piece.
Can't say I have too many regrets in my collection but I did get rid of some of my earliest pick ups from when I started collecting such as those Yamato Street Fighter figures. The quality on them is just shoddy in comparison to what I would buy later on. Haven't done a premium format yet but when I do commit, I hope to not regret it

I got about 30+ statues maybe more like 40-50 idk but I surely regret a lot of them. I ended up selling and giving away maybe like 15 of them. Most line of statues consist of dark horse, sideshow, video games collectors editions, dc bombshells, and several others. My least favorite is marvel gallery statues. Detailed yet cheaply made.

One statue I sort of regret buying is Cerulean Sakuya from the Shining series. I say this because the arm was broken (it was used too). If I ever decide to replace it, then I will (if I get that opportunity).
I dig the MK ninjas, but probably woulda just done Scorpion and Sub Zero. Now that new Gladiator Hulk is probably one of the coolest ones I've seen on the channel. Loved it! -Dustin

Most line of statues consist of dark horse, sideshow, video games collectors editions, dc bombshells, and several others. My least favorite is marvel gallery statues. Detailed yet cheaply made.

One statue I sort of regret buying is Cerulean Sakuya from the Shining series. I say this because the arm was broken (it was used too). If I ever decide to replace it, then I will (if I get that opportunity).
I dig the MK ninjas, but probably woulda just done Scorpion and Sub Zero. Now that new Gladiator Hulk is probably one of the coolest ones I've seen on the channel. Loved it! -Dustin

I do not have any that I regret as of yet but I was looking at that doomsday / superman diorama. Luckily it was priced high on Ebay so it kept me from buying it, now I definitely never will
