Cap you amaze me. You have a full time job. You do the RUclips channels and still make time for your amazing family. I personally want to thank you for being a inspiration to us all. And thanks for the awesome content. Keep it up you rock Cap!!! 👍🇺🇸
I don't care how anyone criticizes you for your abilities, I think you are a very common sensed young man. Love watching you tear stuff apart. Being an old senior citizen from SC, I am not able to move like you do anymore. Keep up good work.
That's a good way to keep the oldie-but-goodie going, making one "live" tractor out of multiple dead ones. We've got one here I call "Frank," short for "Frankenstein" since it's the same way. Thanks for the video, take care.
I ordered mounts, rear seal, and an isolator for my 755 a couple weeks ago through John Deere’s parts site and Reynolds in Indy shipped to my house for FREE!!! It’s sooooo smooth now😀
ADS are RUclips heros. They are always helpful and have some very informative videos. Those little Yanmar's are real popular and have lot's of support.
That quick attach system was so easy, a child can even do it! I know because my dad owned a John Deere dealership in Saskatoon. And in the mid 60's, he would take me and my younger brother to work on weekends to babysit us. I was less than 10yo at the time. One time in the spring, they were setting up the usual displays of garden equipment for sale. And I clearly recall that I put on at least one mower all by myself. It was on a much smaller tractor. 3 springs pins and a belt was all it took.
Mike be careful to make sure the height of the new wide tires is the same as those old turfs you’re going to a 4wd unit and the front axle is geared for the proper tire combination. A smaller tire may change the ratio making them not turn equally as your fronts.
It’s going to be great to see the 755 back on the channel parts tractor was the way to go for the most parts to keep it running you run it like you stole it lol 👍👋🇨🇦
I would pick up the phone and reach out to your supplier and ask to speak to the president. Nicely explain the situation and ask him to rectify. I’m certain they will both expedite and discount your order. If you get no positive response go to supplier 2, 3, 4, 5……and never order from the supplier again and tell two friends (or 88,200 subscribers ) of your experience. Mistakes happen but you retain customers by how suppliers address the mistake. What I say to my organization is a screwed up order is only worth $1,000 loss, but that really translate to $100,000 for that customers lifetime. Give them a chance to correct.
if the glitch deleted the order, it may have deleted all records of the order making it so that they don't know anything about any orders, there would be no way to no who placed orders to be able to contact people about the problem happening
Not picking sides here but there's a thing called 'social media' and 'local press' where reputable businesses report issues with 'downed systems' etc.....did the supplier do any of this? Of course you've also got, on most online ordering systems, a confirmation of order and expected delivery/expedite date - did the customer not query when goods didn't arrive on time? Humans.....if only we could replace them 🤣🤣 [sarcasm]
Your error in being an apologist for the vendor is in thinking that Mike is naive about such matters. He didn’t give us the entire blow by blow of the discussion because THAT isn’t what he wanted to highlight but it was clear that he was secure in knowing that THEY dropped the ball. Also easy enough to understand is that Mike gives lots of room with vendors who have situations …this is known through watching his channel. He isn’t interested in handing “the ball” back to this vendor and wants a different one. Personally I don’t think he is running them down by naming them but simply does not want to get any recommendations that point to this non-starter. But if you prefer to think that Mike is either being a jerk or naive in dealing with vendors, that is your right to be wrong. It. Is. America and we need all types to have true diversity.
And this is why good old fashion hard copies are a necessity. The world is so dependent on digital that when it goes down, you are screwed! And there are people, businesses, financial institutions, and companies that will take advantage of that!
Thanks for the video so I can live vicariously through you. Sucks having the knowledge and ability to do this kind of work but no funds. At least RUclips is free.
Sounds like Mumma Bear does a heap of work in your yard ,quite often hear the mower and Brush cutter working in the background, great to see Mumma Bear..
If it was me I'd eventually get both running and keep one set up with the loader and logging winch and the other set up as the mower with the whoppa choppa and the finish deck.
I hear the struggle of fixing the parts tractor!!!! I would have had the same struggle and probably would have tossed a pushrod into it "just to see"......and then regretted it.....but.....I think you did the right thing in taking it apart to fix the original......at least for now.
I love this video …you even had me talking to my tablet “Mike get one running machine before you decide on trying to make a second one viable”. I wasn’t even forcing the idea on which one but was pretty certain the one in the shop is the primary. Btw we both know that you can get that second one running. Put it on your list if that is important to you.
Great vid mike, me I’d personally fix the parts tractor those yanmars are easy to work on and are a breeze to rebuild if need be, I’d throw a push rod in it and check for other issues and after fixing you would have a 6-7k tractor, you could sell it and use some of the cash to go towards the other 755 or u could keep it and use it as a back up tractor
great score for $750, haven't seen anything that cheap in Cincinnati area. Maybe I need to move back to Tell City area where my Mom's family is from, since she's a Kleeman. Keep up the great videos!
Thanks for the update, enjoyed watching Mike. That parts order issue, if you haven’t had problems with them before, it could be that the system dumped all the info to the point they couldn’t tell who ordered what, you might want to give them another chance, it goes without saying that if the issue is a problem in the past, them drop them like a rock. Just a thought sir.
Goodmorning Mike, i was wondering when we'd see the 755 back. Good to see theres plenty of gold on the donor! Thanks for the morning motivation today, now to go track down some random power loss issues on my old Chevy, i have a feeling there will be a few "neat"s coming out😂
Fix the 2-wheel drive engine and store it in a corner for emergency swap-outs, then keep the skeleton under cover for parts as needed. As far as Weingard's "computer glitch" I'd say it's hard to be upset that they didn't get back to you if they didn't know they needed to because of the glitch. Now if you prepaid, their bank records should have been an indication to them that they should have contacted you. But it's hard to know for sure.
Goodonya Captain!! You tore that spare tractor apart just like I would, ended up with a ring of parts around the perimeter. Just squirt some oil in and pop some earplugs in the holes to keep moister out of that spare engine. Love your work!
Our local JD dealer is Sloan Implement , they have several locations IL, WS, and one in Vincennes IN. I have had very good luck with them. I enjoy your videos and all your projects.
Hello Mike. I understand about the lack of customer service and the shipping bit. I ordered a microphone. It was 171 miles from me. It moved and was 91 miles from me. It moved again and it was 361 miles from me. Of course they had to repeat the last trip. It looks like your $750 purchase could end up netting over $1000 between what you can use and sell. You showed us almost $400 in pictures and there was a lot more. Have good days!
great parts tractor Mike , hope when you have used all you need and sell what you don't need you make a small profit to pay for new parts, great video 👍👍👍👍👍
Hello Captain, I have had great service for my Yanmar engine parts needs from "Southern Farm Equipment Imports" in Irvington, AL. Good luck with ALL your projects from the "left" coast.
Hi Mike. Nice score on the JD 750. If you get it running, maybe you could leave it at the World Headquarters for service down there. It's possible that the engine was hydro-locked at one point which led to the pushrod bending and eventually breaking. I don't know how that would happen though unless the tractor was under water. Pulling the head will probably show if there was any catastrophic mechanical failure.
Wouldnt take much to drop the oil pan. Even if I see it with a scope, I wouldn't be able to remove it or diagnose what happened without removing the pan
Mike its up to you to make the desistion on what you do with both! But what ibe seen! Id pull off all you can off the downer and stock pile all the good parts and peices you can. Those are grrat little units and are biult better that the new stuff coming out! And with lees stuff to worry about ! Less wiring and those peski sensors that love to drive aperson insain😂! Plus yours already had the front + hydralics up front and its 4x4! And is quickattach ready! And i so enjoy watching you getting it done! Anf as always be safe at your ocupation you do! Cause its a crazy world out thier! And also thank you for doing the job! You and your crew be safe!
Cap.....Four Brothers, Royce City Texas. They've always been good to work with for me. They also service and sell Huskvarna...Stihl..and more. Good luck with the 755s.
Excellent score on the 755, Mike.👌 Definitely check the lifters, cam lobes, and possibly oiling issues for causes on the failed lifter rod. Tough break on the parts order. Unfortunately JD and CAT are notoriously awful as dealers go. It is rare to find an actual "caring" dealership. Hopefully someone has a good reference, I certainly don't. Looks like you just might have 2 runners before long.🤙
I have and had more John Deere Yanmars. Also have and had a lot of Yanmars. LOVE those tractors.Miss every one that I bought to fix and sell then sold.
Captain that's a nicely priced parts tractor. I've done business with our local deere dealership and the parts guy went beyond his duties to help me . P&K equipment in Muskogee Oklahoma. 😊😊
Glad to hear that there are good parts and hopefully service guys. The one one in Shawnee was in process of changing ownership in ~2018 to "P&K" but in doing so kept my tractor in service bay for 11 months during there transition. youtube channel "mmrbeef" is probably a good resource on the ordering process from JD dealer even though I think I've heard him complain about them as well. I'd assume he knows the parts ordering website process better than any parts guy but he's just as busy as you are.
Tire upgrade! Check! Replacement missing tow bar! Check! Replacement lost bracket! Check! Good Hood! Check! Good Grill! Check! And the list goes on and on and on! Now all you need to do is put that parts 755 somewhere it won't be exposed to the elements to avoid rust and deterioration! Oh wait! That's why it's going to the Headquarters!
motor mounts are listed on amazon from a few places and the john deere water is listed there as well. might not be OEM but the number has been changed in JD parts online so likely OEM is different or changes to aftermarket.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas and videos. As far as parts, what about the people who gave you that nice shirt your wearing. It’s not the first time I’ve seen their name on a video. I believe OLF from NJ deals with them quite often. Different sized tractors but still green. Wishing you and your family the best. Liked the Vevor jack. If only my car came with a compressor system. Could have helped the many times I got my car stuck on a high spot in the snow filled end of my driveway.
Cap'n- Just check your air bag occasionally where the bolts rub the bag. They chafe and can wear through. I put silicone on my bag. Damn, that kinda didn't sound right. LOL!!!
My local John Deere dealer has been great (P&K Midwest), but if it is something that they would have to order anyway I use Greenpartstore to save the drive. That site is ran by AHW LLC dealerships who have dealerships in west Indiana. I have never had an issue in the 4-5 times I have used their website.
That was a good find and well worth the money, that model of tractor is so reliable mainly due to the fact that the Yanmar 3 cylinder engine is virtually non distructable, you'd have to do something really bad to break it. Those rear wheels are really going to help out, are you going to change the fronts as well? Not sure if there in a better condition than yours. Looking forward to watch the re build of old faithful. 👍
Those systems keep a log of transactions. Not necessarily the order but it would know who was logged on and accessed the system and what customer account was looked up. Now if it was a cash customer at the counter that would be another story depending on which system they use.
when time permitted I would see if I could fix the engine, that makes a spare engine if needed.i painted my draw bar pink so when I throw in in high dry grass like you just did I can find it,i dont paint it yellow ,orange or red because I threw it in the fall and could not find it till the next spring.that devour tool looks nice.i dont have good luck will dealers.
Those tires on the parts tractor look like the tires I had on my old Jeep. Do those say Armstrong Tru track? I swear those have the same tread pattern. They are the best for traction.😊
Do you have a "wheel of fortune: type wheel, and give it a spin to see what project it lands on, to know which one you're working on for the day?? Lol 😂😂😂 Back tires look SWEET!
I would run a tape measure and check the circumstances ok the tires to make sure they are close. Don't wantt to put undo stress on the drivetrain.good diagnosis on the engine.
I haven’t found anyone that deals with anything green that hasn’t been overly frustrating and make me feel like my money was spent well on “the best equipment around!” Lol we have just about sold everything we have ever owned with a Deere logo because they are all deplorable and have this attitude that your bothering them if your not a 3/4 of a million dollar customer. The only thing we have left is our 1025 and it will probably stick around because it’s way too handy for the yard and it doesn’t get used much so nothing really gets worn out! Lol good luck man, I hope you find someone that makes you feel good about what they charge you for parts and let a us know!
Diagnosing and repairing that engine will be a great winter project… you know… since you’ve got nothing else to do.(sic) Or you can ship it to me, I’ll work on it and ship it back!!!
those yammers are good engines. fix both of them as you can. my experience is with engines ive pulled out of beat up equipment and a 40 something years old Yanmar tractor that still runs perfect. and is a very tough super useful little barbie sized 4wd tractor. but since hoyte tractor was bought out parts availability is now limited. its a dang shame what the new conglomerate did with what was an outstanding parts and information source.
Sorry Mikie, but 55 series are John Deere built in Wisconsin than later moved to Georgia. 50 series were yanmar built. Thats why 50 series is hard to find some parts.😊 Wiengartz is the most expensive place to buy parts.
No, I have no idea. I have a Ford tractor old Ford tractor but I do have a John Deere zero turn and I just go to my local John Deere dealer here in Laurel Mississippi.
Cap you amaze me. You have a full time job. You do the RUclips channels and still make time for your amazing family. I personally want to thank you for being a inspiration to us all. And thanks for the awesome content. Keep it up you rock Cap!!!
👍🇺🇸
tip put the injectors back in your spare engine and something over the intake to keep inside dry . put some oil in cylinders before injectors
I don't care how anyone criticizes you for your abilities, I think you are a very common sensed young man. Love watching you tear stuff apart.
Being an old senior citizen from SC, I am not able to move like you do anymore.
Keep up good work.
That pneumatic jack is sweet.
Almost to 90,000 subs. Let's get Captain to 100,000 by years end!
I love the progression of your thinking. Best use of new assets to make working machines and money for new projects.
That's a good way to keep the oldie-but-goodie going, making one "live" tractor out of multiple dead ones. We've got one here I call "Frank," short for "Frankenstein" since it's the same way. Thanks for the video, take care.
John Deere 755 is hands down the best little tractor ever made. I love these things.
I have been pretty happy with my little BX 2230 no loader but I have access to 4020s etc. with loaders
Captain, keep up the great work. I'm looking forward to the next video. Thanks for sharing!😊
Parts is Parts. When you need them, you got them now. Even though cylinder 2 is a minor fubar you made a good deal Mike.
Mike, my local mom and pop NAPA can get just about anything. Maybe try your NAPA, granted ours is the BEST. Stay frosty brother
I ordered mounts, rear seal, and an isolator for my 755 a couple weeks ago through John Deere’s parts site and Reynolds in Indy shipped to my house for FREE!!! It’s sooooo smooth now😀
I’ve bought a few parts from Flint Ag & Turf in Americus GA for our 5055D. I’ve been happy with their service.

Monday night ,hear in AUS, g'day Mike ya, back on the tractor,, very kool 😎, , thanks for what you do mate......
Captain great video, another adventure! Thanks for sharing! Kevin
Definitely fix the parts motor and put it on the self. Money in the bank! Love my 770 & 790 JD's! Great video Mike! Lee
I bought a 955 new in about 1991 or 1992. I loved that tractor.
Captain, Riesterer and Schnell here in Wisconsin may be a source for your John Deere parts. They've been around forever are top notch.
Sounds like Mumma Bear does a heap of work in your yard ,quite often hear the mower and Brush cutter working in the background, great to see Mumma Bear..
I've been super happy with my local Greenmark john deere dealer.
Goodmorning Mike, i was wondering when we'd see the 755 back. Good to see theres plenty of gold on the donor! Thanks for the morning motivation today, now to go track down some random power loss issues on my old Chevy, i have a feeling there will be a few "neat"s coming out😂
What a great parts tractor. I'm gonna guess you're money ahead. Stay safe
Good morning sunshine! I'm late but I'm here! Lol! Another great video! Much love and respect from Henderson Ga USA
Give Weingartz another chance. I worked for the company and it was great. I am sorry what happened but they do a great job
Wright in Seymour not bad Koenig's in Oxford Ohio good service
Fix the 2-wheel drive engine and store it in a corner for emergency swap-outs, then keep the skeleton under cover for parts as needed.
As far as Weingard's "computer glitch" I'd say it's hard to be upset that they didn't get back to you if they didn't know they needed to because of the glitch.
Now if you prepaid, their bank records should have been an indication to them that they should have contacted you. But it's hard to know for sure.
I’ll bet the admiral loves doing your washing Mike 😂🤣 excellent as always 👍👍🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧🇺🇸
Really enjoying your videos!
Thank you!

Lol 😂😂😂
Back tires look SWEET!
I have had pretty good luck with,( parts tree ), they even show you the schematic with part numbers.
I have used green parts store online several times and had no issues. Give them a try, what do you have to lose?
Hey Cap!! Tell them to discount the parts since the problem was on their end. If they won't, then order somewhere else.
When are we going to see more of the Boat Air-b+b
Did you check the wheel sizes match for the 4x4 system?
P&K here in Oklahoma is very good
I would run a tape measure and check the circumstances ok the tires to make sure they are close. Don't wantt to put undo stress on the drivetrain.good diagnosis on the engine.
YEAH I HAVE ONE THEY ARE GOOD AS HELL STRONG LIFTS UP TO 17'' HIGH
Fill the parts engine with oil or diesel to stop it from rusting.
JD is green because they’re assembled by leprechauns and painted with $100 bills.
Insane what they charge for parts.
Hoye tractor was the best... hands down. Now owned by all states ag parts. Havent dealt with them yet..
Hey cap, charge your battery up before you chk your ports it makes a diff on compression
Thats why 50 series is hard to find some parts.😊
Wiengartz is the most expensive place to buy parts.
No, I have no idea. I have a Ford tractor old Ford tractor but I do have a John Deere zero turn and I just go to my local John Deere dealer here in Laurel Mississippi.
Despite your disclaimer of not being an expert with anything you have done you still show some knowledge of what your work on.
Can you not swap the rims side to side like you did on the 555 !?
No need
My budds tractor had those same wide rear tires tread and all it didnt come outa Va or Tn did it
Good morning Mike
Does DP use the same dealers you do when he needs parts for his 55 series JD's??
