Why, why was this Volvo model never sold in America? It was so close and at that time Volvo were selling over 100,000 cars a year here.
Apparently the value of the dollar dropped in 1987. That scared Volvo into not selling the car here.
poor exchange rate at the time killed off any chance of importing it.
