Now, I'm looking at the differences between these two phones and I'm leaning more towards the SE. Sure, 5S looks great and is very fast compared to how old it is, but the thing is, the 1-2 second speed isn't the only difference I see. Yes, the SE is faster than the 5s. But, you are totally over reacting. Its anywhere from 1 millisecond to 1 second faster in most things. (besides boot up). Totally not worth the upgrade if someone already owns a 5s.

You should compare both of the phones with games. Especially high graphic ones like racing games or something like that because that's where the differences are noticeable.
Hi, maybe you don't want to kill the apps. As the iPhone SE has more RAM, this would also be a good indicator on the speed. Of course the apps on the SE load faster. I would have liked to see some games / apps or a more in depth use in terms of speed. Also a download test would have been nice. :)
btw, i got the iPhone SE now - and it's AWESOME in comparison to the iPhone 5S. Really happy with it. Better battery, super fast, more Storage... So, if anyone is unsure: clear upgrade recommendation. You will be happy. ;)

I would wait until the iPhone 7, because the 5s is still extremely powerful. However, if you want a smaller 4 inch iPhone, or you're frustrated with the lag on your iPhone 5s, the SE is a good idea.

Compare them with heavy apps like Asphalt! Opening light apps will be fast on both. To decide which one is a better bought, just think SE have the last processor and 2gb of ram, this means more years of support and good performance. Also 12mp camera, live photos(i love this), ressist longer time under whater because is sealed, Retina Flash improve a lot your selfies. I have an Android Moto X, I like it fine, it works well, however I would like a phone that takes better photos and videos. I'm eligible for an upgrade and Verizon suggested the iPhone SE, so I googled it, and came across your video. It is very informative, and easy to understand. I have never had an iPhone before, is it hard to get used to it, as opposed to the Android? I have no idea what Safari is, etc. so I would have to learn all the different apps. I am not smartphone savvy, and I am not even sure what some of the apps do on the phone I have now! Any suggestions or advice? Thanks!

If you are happy with android and want a phone that takes good photos go for a flagship xperia device they have auto, full manual controls, better apature and use a decent slightly larger bridge camera type sensor.
