Just to give a fun fact: in the MV, DK celebrates his bday and d MV was released April 18, 2021. DK is a premature baby at 7mos and if he completed d 9mos cycle his bday wud have been April 18 💕
and let me add something to that..... we have a cute justification for that, Carats love to put it as if DK rushed out of his mother's womb so Vernon will have someone to celebrate his birthday with (We call them 218 bros coz they're both born on February 18, just different years). You see, during their birthdays, the members will always spare time to do weverse lives to celebrate their birthdays with Carats, and then we have Vernon who feels awkward when doing lives coz he does not know what to talk about (he's working on it tho and he's improving now. Though he still rarely goes live alone), but then he has his DOKYEOMMIE-HYUNG to celebrate it with and do lives with every year.
actually, Woozi always pulls out a scissor finger if the members want to shake hands with him or high-five it is like one of his cute habits.

"Not Alone" was released during COVID, and they wanted the fans to know they would be together again soon...that even though they were separated for a time, they're not alone.
12:18 hitorijanai will always make me emotional :') could never forget how this was released in the middle of the pandemic which, i think, is the reason why some of the scenes shows what people usually do when there was a lockdown (like the birthday celebration via zoom, tiktok challenges, etc) :') it makes me emotional remembering how i felt during those times then this song was suddenly released
"Not Alone" is a song sung to cheer up Japanese CARATs who were unable to meet due to the cancellation of dome tours due to the Corona disaster.Thirteen people have found what they can do in their homes and are enjoying the Corona disaster.We made an appointment to meet again at the concert.

The song is a Covid song if you will, but also I read somewhere that it's dedicated to Mingyu that was on hiatus before this MV due to false bulling allegations.

- some 💎s have said that dokyeom was supposed to be born on April and the MV was released on April 2021.
- the MV is very packed with pandemic references as it was filmed at the pick of covid so that's the reason for the zoom call.
- mingyu's part is so emotional for the fandom since he had to go to hiatus after the hellstorm idols went through for bullying scandals and our boy was accused and proved innocent. he didn't get to celebrate his bday so this was crying hours.
- the car that seungkwan is in has a plate with 15-0526, svt's debut

THANK YOU for reacting to the Japanese releases. Their Japanese videos are always VERY visual, full of amazing colors you won't typically see in their Korean MVs. They have a completely different style and vibe, and I LOVE IT! I haven't caught up with all of your reactions, but have you reacted to their Japanese release "Dream"? (i also really like the typography 🤲 the designers svt hire for the song logos never disappoint) but ☝️🤓 kanji refers to chinese characters (which were borrowed into japanese), the alphabet used here is called hiragana! if they decided to use kanji “ひとりじゃない” could’ve also been written as “一人じゃない” (or “一人じゃ無い” if they wanted to be fancy)
21:57 text on the billboard is the lyrics to wonwoo’s intro! (and at 26:04 it just says “power of love”)
30:51 i like how in the line “gather our ever growing hearts” the word “積もる” [tsumoru] which was translated as “growing” actually means “to pile up” and is frequently used to describe the way snow piles up! ❄️ it creates a really beautiful imagery especially with the whole theme of the song and the mv ❤️🩹 and as far as i know the korean word has the same connotation!
also looove ainochikara mv 💞 it’s so greenscreen-y but so so pretty and almost 3d-cartoony-like(?) love! and not alone was my first svt comeback as a full-on carat so it has a special place in my heart as well ❤️🩹

the best part about not alone, aside from it being released right after some shit went down in caratland and svt (esp mingyu), was the fact that it was also released in the middle of a pandemic and so the whole message was the affirmation i (or maybe each one of us) actually needed the most during those times. when i say svt's literally always there whenever i need emotional support, that's exactly what i mean. btw thanks so much for this reaction ❤
