I love how Quill has been talking smack about the AI's naval abilities this whole time and then goes on to lose most of his navy in his first major naval skirmish :D
quill... One of the main reasons you kept losing your units down south is because you let them heal outside of your territory, significantly slowing there healing and letting the barbs spawn more units faster than you heal.
You might have avoided that dark age if you had built a Pa site, and it would help with the combat up north. Also suzerain Auckland, sweet bonus to production on coastal tiles and its in NZ too so its only right seeing as you're playing as the Maori.
So need a round of builders, a lot of your cities are very likely working fairly crap unimproved terrain, reducing your production leading 'eventually' to being behind, especially in the south.
@@pengli4108 BUt is it for the right thing? Like why would you need to be punished for making more progress. Making progress is the whole point of the game. If you're roleplaying as a leader of a nation you wouldn't think:''Nah, I'm not gonna discover anything groundbreaking because that would mean there is less to discover a 100 years from now.''
@@zodayn It helps keep the game balanced. If they didn't do that then you would sweep the map in the end game everytime. It also makes you plan better, which adds more strategy to the game.
@@SonofRuss95 While that's true, I don't think it's in spirit of the game's theme. Also you can't always strategize erea points as you can't always forsee for example finding a wonder. It works as balancing, but if a lot of players feel punished for being too good, it's not a good tool for balance. What might work better is if you could reject era score similarly to how you can reject great people. With great people rejecting them saves some points, but there is also a large downside to doing it so you have to consider it carefully.
Not really. It makes sense logically. A nation can do a lot of good one century and fall apart the next. Plus, often times you CAN get multiple golden ages in a row, but it doesn’t help that he stays away from wonders
If I recall correctly: All the tech & diplomacy stuff should be patched into Civ 6, according to the devs, with the natural disasters & new civs obviously not being available without DLC.

See the kicker is he knows that, and yet he insists on continuing to do it.
I love it how they use the city names of each tribes main town from their area.
Let me get this straight: they declared an emergency because you were living in a city they gave you?!?!??
It worked out somewhat well for them - Inca + Mali started smashing quills navy
I'm aware of that. I'm just surprised the AI considers "violating the treaty I signed" to be an "emergency". I wasn't expecting that level of realism.
Jay Henry sounds a bit familiar
AIs gonna AI
oh man, you had an opportunity to ask sweeden to join the ongoing war when you renewed the alliance. Gotta work your allies a little more Quill.
Alliences dont help you when an emergency is used to declare the war.

I know you record this far in advance, but you should take a look at Reyna's promotion Forestry Management, could be very very good as the Maori
Triggers me so hard when you say "too too bad"
He didn’t even realize his Frigate was destroyed....
Thank you for calming my addiction of this game until thursday
I gotta agree - he's the ORIGINAL Captain Marvel... And "Shazam" is the wizard, dammit! :D
Sick hunt draconis 😂😂😂
4 days to go!
Less than 2 hours now!

More army exp was great but u keep forgetting to upgrade the volcanic tiles they are amazing food tiles
And natural wonders.
@@KingAlpaca yup forgot that
It's such BS that you can overshoot a golden age. You are essentially punished for making too much progress.
The game is so broken I find it refreshing that the game can actually punish you for a change.

Quill bit unrelated but what are the chance of you doing a train fever play through ?? After all we do know you partial to a railroad game
Have you made a “and that’s going to have be OKAY” shirt yet?
4:44 War Emergency.
*Yes Queen*
Deity AI, no walls in its cities ... wow. Just wow
It would be great if you could trade civic and tech boosts with the AI or maybe some other way of buying them
You missed the Incan settlement on your Southern continent with the city states.
Quill please do the rendezvous tutorial in ksp
Isnt most of this episode just the last one?
nvm my youtube just broke
How did you get the world Congress? Is it dlc?
It's part of the new upcoming expansion. Quill got a beta version courtesy of Firaxis
Oh ok. Weird that it isn't a feature in the normal game tho.

This play-through was so fun until he started getting owned by barbarians and mismanaging his navy 🤦🏻♂️
