I once was invited to a Chinese family's home for dinner. There, I tasted many dishes, but my favorite was a simple vegetable dish. It consisted of only bok choy, stir-fried with starch and water, without any meat or seafood. The distinct aroma of bok choy and the slightly sweet, mild sauce made it, in my opinion, the best Chinese dish I've ever had.
