COMPLETE NICK SIBICKY GO LECTURE PLAYLIST:
• Nick Sibicky Go Lectur...
The reason why the cut you guys discussed around 50 min is bad for black, is that your student gave black the move to hane at F18 when it was actually white's move, so white would just extend at F18 and kill the black stones.
love the channel man! great stuff ^^
Yay new camera! Looks awesome and sounds good! Though it's a little hard to hear the questions, though it might just be the people talking.
At ~1:14 hours, AlphaGo is not actually a super computer as the latest version is only using one machine consisting of 4 TPUs or tensor processing units.
It is not a kind of computer most people have in their homes though.
It's not a single computer in the general sense either though
I like the new intro, and as always great content
You played 2 black moves in a row at around ~50mins
Awesome camera awesome audio
The video's looking good and audio's fine.
But the old intro was better :/
I don't care that much about the intro, the important thing is the video :)
Agreed
Congrats for the new camera! :D
If you watch in 4k, you'll jump up to 4k.
Spoiler Alert.. Ke Jei got swept by Alphago... RIP Humanity.
You mean you publish a video 3 weeks after it is filmed?
What level is the class here? I think this is a really good level for me.. I learned a lot but I also felt pretty good with some of my choices
At ~50 minutes, white's move was skipped.
Much better, omg ! such a difference
3:53 but shouldn't I play on the biggest/longest side? That looks like the left to me.
it looks and sounds great
Why is the kick in the upper right not good? Now it's difficult for white to make a 3 space jump. She has to make two, so less efficient from two stones.
I would love to see Go's version of Twitch play pokemon. Some colaborative match between the best pros versus Alpha go would be so entertaining!
does anyone know where Nick holds his classes? is it in the states?
Under his huge board it says "seattlego.org" ... so there is the answer ... the city of Seattlego :p
ohh ptff....
""!@#$.... any kids here? cover your ears'' That warning was too late Nick!
great game, thank you
great vid, but the lighting messes up the board
Looks good, little bit of white noise but not too bad
Alphago won. There now you know.
15:09 "mess around with the bottom". Oh, you dirty dirty boy! ;-)
26:35 9d empty triangle?
man, americans love voting so much 31:00 lol
is nick a Pro?
No, he's a 4 (or 5, I can't remember) dan AGA
on my 5 year old laptop's built in speakers and the 144p my 5x1 internet can barely handle, you look and sound... just like always... so... great?
Awesome
>Asks us to watch in 4K
>Video doesn't have 4K available
brningpyre it has on a computer :-) on mobile it tops at 1440p
It's probably based on location. I don't have 4k and I'm on pc, but I'm also in Europe, which quite far from Seattle, so the high res version might simply not have had time to get cached yet on a local server.
Edit: Now I have it.
I'm watching in 4k atm so...
I've still not seen youtube reviews of the alpha-Ke games... noone can be bothered or I just don't know enough go channels? Also: 4k works... completely pointless but it's there. It's the little pointless things that make life worth while...
Redmond made some short reviews after the game.
Sunday Go Lessons did in depth ones for each game.
Brady's Blunders posted yesterday 1 review for all recent AG games.
go haters! vote this up higher. 29?
AG was trained on high level amator games, not professional.
Btw Nick, if there are 4 black stones and one white stone isn't it a bit delicate to talk about a bad neighbourhood ;-)? Kidding - I just had a giggle.
