Just read the book recently, He mentions that he had a stroke and how it still left him with speech difficulties, but yeah he partied hard... I am from Dublin Ireland but I have traveled a lot of the world and ever so often here and there you meet people like Steven who take SO much drugs and its strange to comprehend how many people would be dead on half of what 'these' people have taken (drugs) its not a badge of honor but these are strong but messed up people, their stories can be informative

Definitely go buy his book, "My Appetite For Destruction." It's better than any of the other Gunners' books (Duffs' is painfully boring) and he tells some insane stories. It's got a non-linear feel to it, just one tale after another. You'll be more amazed than ever that Stevie is still alive.

I think I was in the 6th grade when Welcome To The Jungle first hit the radio. Right away everyone knew GNR was going to be big. Now after all these years, all sides of the story was told. Adler's story is awesome and inspiring and what he had to get through and go through, I've became a really big fan of his and I'd love to see him a the Reunion in California with the rest of the GNR original line-up. He's a very humble person now considering what he has been through.

Steven Adler is a kind hearted person, im glad that he is better, and what he went through god only knows, but he came back fighting and he won the battle againts addiction. He's a hero in my eyes, and i respect him dearly. He is one of the greatest drummers to have ever walked the planet. Weather it was Guns and Roses, or Road Crew or Addler's Appetite, he rocks, he just kicks so much ass.

IMO he was the heart and soul of that band. He fucked up like many people who battle with addiction. Anyway, you could see him smiling in every video. He really loves what he does and you can hear it in the music. Decent guy he seems.

from someone who has battled addiction all their life...i can say it is a disease....and to all those that don't know any better...pity on you....i take my hat off to Steven.....the only difference between him and the rest of us who suffer this horrendous disease is that he was crucified by the media, his friends, his family, his foe.......his band.......I luckily only had my own conscience...well...maybe family ....to stick the knife in even further.....Good Steven...you are the VOICE..I luv U

The first point that Adler makes in this video is very very true. He's a very brave person. I look up to him for pulling his life back together and making some more cool music. I just watched a video of Dead Wrong by 'Adler' (band), and I thought it was really good. I think a lot of people wrote him off as a person and a musician, but the truth is that he hasn't given up on himself and his story is one of fighting and winning.
