Fair market, a kind of periodic marketplace which is quite popular in mountainous areas of Vietnam, but there are many countries in the world that still exist and maintain this kind of traditional market, in which there is a strong Thailand tourism country.
The fair market, as well as the floating market, formed based on the natural needs of the people, to facilitate the exchange and sale of small and self-produced products when transportation and transportation of goods are still inadequate. Thailand in the decades of the century before the market also formed with similar needs. But when the economy developed and the goods circulated more easily, these types gradually disappeared and disappeared from modern life, the Thai government restored and re-planned this type of market and helped it distribute more widely developed.
The fair now retains the exchange and trade of self-produced goods, but besides that, the government has tightened up the price and transparency in trading and product origin. It is thanks to competitive prices and different models of goods compared to supermarkets and markets, so attracting a lot of locals to come here for shopping this weekend. As the market grows gradually, tourists also gradually turn to more, from which the market scale is getting bigger and bigger over time. (Thai people do not make floating markets for tourists only, but they make these weekend markets for locals only because they understand that the culture and the indigenous atmosphere are the things that attract tourists.)
If you have the opportunity to visit Chiang Mai, do not forget this Jing Jai session market. Remember to leave early at 6:30 am - 7:00 pm, and visit and eat at 10 o'clock is the most fun.
Hopefully, the images of Thailand's fair market will provide a new perspective on how to do tourism in the world, hope that the future of Vietnam will find a better direction for home tourism.
