Well, I don’t think they can get passed ledges, so overhangs would still keep them out right?
It was because of the one block hole, the slabs do work, but some of the monsters can go through one block holes. Speaking of which, some of them can break glass, I think? So it was the safest to do slabs.
If I can make a recommendation, I highly suggest adding the mod "The Silence".
Turns Minecraft into an analog horror game and is super scary.
I was actually thinking about making a whole video on that mod!!
Maybe you should make a base out of stone, that way monsters don’t burn it down.

there's something about being in a world that you KNOW contains a genuine scary monster from your childhood that is actually real this time around and you can't escape him this time and hide behind the "he's just a myth" thing 😂

But at the same time, he doesn't really do anything. Yeah it's kind of creepy sometimes but he doesn't kill you or anything, so I've never really been afraid of him when using various herobrine mods.

@@grimm6176 ahh ok nice. I was fortunate enough to never have heard of herobrine when I was a kid, and I’ve been playing Minecraft since alpha so I was pretty lucky I guess.

TIPS: dont use glass for windows use fences also its better to build on water since the monsters take longer to get you some monsters can climb walls etc and they can break doors

There is a mod to make the nights longer so when you want to game to be more scary tense longer, you should try that out when you can.

Hourglass mod for 1.20.2 version Minecraft.
Better days mod for 1.20.1 version Minecraft.
So far what i could find at the moment but there might be more for newer updates of Minecraft as one just needs to look it up and search when possible.

I looked, and saw Darkem jumping from the trees into the ground, and in the ground was clover and dead. From them there were what looked to be copper swords thrown in the mist of conflict towards Darkem as she fell. From mysterious places were the same swords also thrown. And an event of significance will take place and it all surrounds Darkem. This is however very likely to not occur.
