Girl I love night shift! Been working nights for 11 years. I ain't gotta worry about management breathing down my neck, or be in the presence of the state when they come. It be quite most of the time. I love nights
Yassss team nights
I’ve been on days for 8 years and I can’t take it anymore! I’m switching to nights! Exactly for the same reasons you just described. Tired of management, tired of people wanting to talk to me all the time (family, PT, wound care, nursing homes, radiology, ultrasound, MDs, etc.) I want to be left alone! I’ve had it! 😁
Night shifts are better even when you have kids too,you tuck them in at night they don’t miss your absence until you come home in the morning.
Nights are the bomb! Other than how nights effect your sleep and your life schedules, nights are better than days in almost every way!
Yasss sure is. Team night shift
I love nights in the ED. Plus, that differential is clutch.
Night shift is life, sis, ride or die night shift staff right here!☺️ ... You said “Day shift: y’all a different breed of animals.”🤣🤣🤣
Been on day shift and switching to nights for the first time in a couple of weeks. Everything you said about day shift is right on. You give me hope for enjoying the change. :)
Im so damn glad that you are so fuckin HONEST. There's some ppl out here talking bout how night shift is as stressful as days. Hell NO. I work day shifts and everything u said is SPOT ON. I just wanna take care of my damn patients and not deal with all these other ppl coming and bombarding me with questions.
The night shift I love no management no administration, just quiet and less stressful girl I love it I just quit my day shift job moving on to 11-7
11-7 is a great shift. After the storm clears over at work
11-7 is a great shift. After the storm clears over at work
Tam Kam yes it is I’m so excited to start I used to work 7-3 and come in the morning so envious of the other sides leaving at 7am I’m like you’re so lucky now that can be me
11-7 shift bomb
I’m a surgical tech and I’m second shift and i love it! I’m going back to school for nursing 💕 and your hair is popping
Awww thanks and yes second shift is A1. I'm thinking about making a separate channel dedicated to nursing
Love night shift. I did my orientation during day shift, it was insane. I worked 7pm-7am before it was sweet. Now i work 11-7am its quiet, no one down my neck while im working. Besides not being able to sleep i love it.
Day shift one year
Night shift three years
And I don't plan on working day shift ever again. Haha
Yasssss team night period
Ya know I actually agree. Wow. I’ve always been taking the earlier shifts. I have issues with my management and I haven’t really thought about the fact that at night there’s literally only one manager there and she’s walking around doing her thing.
Yes I loveeee night shift. More convenient and relaxed
Came for the hair, subscribed for the nursing. I hit that button before I even watched a video lol
Awww thank you so much. Its so appreciated. I will have more nursing videos coming soon. What kind of nurse are you
@@TamKam I'm starting my third semester of nursing school next week. People say to start in medsurg first, but I like labor and delivery
@@kekelauren6251 owww thats a good topic to talk about. Hunnnny i heard to start in M/S so much but i really didnt want to. I found love in the ER during my last semester in school and i just went straight for that. Its a old school tale to "start off in medsurg to learn time management blah blah blah". You will learn that everywhere you go. I do suggest to start teching in L&D becausw that is a touch unit to get into. So if you start as a tech you can build a rapport with staff and management and it will be easier for u to get into the unit once you graduate. But hun go for what you want and what your heart desire. I have been in the ER for 3yrs now and im happy I went with my first mind. And on a second note, the fast you hop in your speciality the fast you can travel (if you wanted to) and L&D traveler make BOOMMMIN money lol just saying
@@TamKam Yesss! I needed to hear all that. I've been holding back and telling people that idk what I want to go into yet because I haven't seen enough but I know that even before I started nursing school I loved maternity. And I do want to do travel nursing too, internationally if that's possible
@@kekelauren6251 internationally is most definitely posdible hun. Reach for the stars and never limit yourself
I work at the morgue in my county! And I would have to agree! Night shift is way better! I love every nursing staff member I meet in hospitals on night shift!
Forever a night shifter, until i have kids then we'll see. And how is it working in a morgue
Ehhh. It’s okay. It gets a little dark at times.
I honestly think nights is better and I'm a morning person
Night shift all the way!!!!! Would NEVER go back to day shift!
I am currently day shift ER, I am a day person and love it but now I am moving to L&D night shift, I am so nervous. Love your videos!
I would say get your coffee together because you may need it if you never been night shift. But I just love the vibe at night, it's so my happy and seems less tight
Night shift 8 years...Monday Thursday Friday and done !!!
Okurrrrr. Yassss
Is 3 days considered as full time for a 12hr shifts
@@patriciagary4857 Yes
Did you do 11-7 or 7-7?
@@lls1142 12 hr shifts..
I did day shift for my preceptorship in nursing school and girl its not for me either! Too many people! lol I just accepted a position at a local hospital for night shift and I am ready to not be human lol. Nursing school made me a morning person but I'm a true night owl at heart
Omg i dreaded the mornings in nursing school. Getting up at 5am for a 7am shift just isnt me. Lol. You will definitely enjoy being a night owl and for some strange reason everyone is chiller, idk why but i love it
I'm a night owl as well but not up until 7:30 am night owl more like 2am.
I’m going to start my prereqs, but I stay up all night all of the time lol ive always been a night owl. I hate waking up early!
I love night shift 🤟🏾🤟🏾🤟🏾
Yasss team night shift
Night shift , all the way! We are a closer unit for our residents...especially on a dementia floor.
Love this video. So informational. New subscriber here ❤️
Thank you so much and thanks for subbing
You're sooo right
I work 2 evenings and 2 nights and then 1 morning (even friday or saturday) and its unpaid !!!!
I feel so burned out I cant do anything
At the beginning i found the night shift was abit difficult, but on the way became well
Team night shift
I will be starting days Monday I did nights it’s a vibe but I’m a morning person.
Baby where is you from with that amazing accent????? Are you from Louisiana?
Yep, straight outta New Orleans
@@TamKam I knew it!!! Im from Thibodaux. That's bout an HR away.
@@raquellpn7482 hey neighbor🤗
I would be pro night shift but I really don’t wanna develop heart disease ;( I’m very scared for my heart health
Understanding
you have such a beautiful NO accent. I can recognize it from anywhere BABAY
Lol thank you so much. I always thought my accent wasn't strong but I guess it is
I will NEVER go back to day shift. 🤣 I mean NEVERRRRRR!
You work 10x as hard on day shift. Period.
Not really true. I worked both and it the same. Day shift starts their shift slow and ends it rough and it's the vice versa for night shift
Also day shift is known to have more staff and resources compared to night shift where you just have to figure it out with what you got. Lack of nursing staff, Respiratory tech, radiology tech, I can go on and on
Yeah “lack of resources” means - you just don’t do it. So day shift does all the things.
All the scans, trialing, all the consults and rounds, etc etc.
Night shift ... keeps them alive for day shift.
But I hear you’re love for night shift .. I give you credit .. I can’t do it myself. Ruins me.
Negative info, work night shift and you will definitely see it's the same. But day shift ppl are known to be stubborn like your thought process now. Keep that same energy else where
Very informative 😩😩😩
I did overnight for a year. It sucks as a mom though
This is my main concern about joining team night shift but at the same time while their in school I can sleep and I’m also worried about the health issues that they say come with working nights
I’m planning on becoming a cna ! Do new nurses have to work night shift
A CNA and Nurse are 2 separate things.but no new nurses dont have to work night shift. I chose night shift because I worked nights as a tech and hated days. But its really based on what's available
That's me I don't like all of those ppl around 😥
Yassssss I need peace
Well is swing shift considered night shift or still day?
What like 3p-3a. If so I'm not sure🤣hmmm. Yall swing both ways. The best of both worlds
NIGHT SHIFTER!😁
7:31 EXAACCTTTLLYYYY 😕
Night shift every night
Your hair😍
Day shift here 😁 anyone?🙄
Lol
🤣🤣🤣
night shift is horrible and i absolutely hate night.
Why?
Are night shifts less crazy?
I feel like its busy same as day shift but the managers and supervisors aren't around so it's less congested
Tam Kam oh I see. I’m almost done with Nursing school and want to do night shifts too. Thanks for the video.
Different breed of animals 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lol girl it isssss
Lol I wanna start my classes next yr and do nights cuz of my kids
@@patriciagary4857 sounds good
is it a good idea to do night nursing school and go to a cna night shift?
I didnt know they have night school and night work how is that possible
@@TamKam okay well you answered my question..
@@naomirison2493 lol you're welcome
@@TamKam the school I'm attending has a night program for part time students its in nyc
@@naomirison2493 oh ok. See I can understand if you work in the day and school at night or vice versa buttt both at night is hard in my eyes because nursing school classes was almost everyday if not everyday
Lol you from the NO
