I think you're on the right path of trying a little balance and testing your ability on another topic, with a little family vlogging. I just wanted to say that one other thing that you offered with the RUclips content was your contagious enthusiasm. You are doing well to consider how you are encouraging people and the awareness that RUclips fluctuates, but you also have such a great level of motivation. People were coming, not just to hear RUclips, but to gain courage and motivation on RUclips. They like to hear someone say, "You can do it", to the degree that it's realistic. I think you are gaining more realism and still maintaining that motivation. A bit of a motivation speaker. You are on the right path.
🤩🤩 I have enjoyed your videos where you are talking about the youtube stuff and I like it more when your wife is there and you both doing your thing, and I like when you showed yourselves test driving the car within all of this teaching about how to do youtube that was so fun to go on that adventure with you. It is good to mix it up, too, like this type of video here. It was fun to know how you both were able to shop for gifts for Christmas 🎄🎄 together because of the youtube money. It's kind of a bit of a vlog about your life a little bit, mixed with great info on youtube growth and had the proof of the money and the life upgrade naturally in the mix of you being able to shop. It was awesome you shared about that. I enjoyed the video where you had the truck you'd been test driving. In a way - more of a vlog like the older vlog style in that we are there with you on part of that adventure, but still centered around this youtube growth. It's exciting to see and hear! It's ok with just you sitting in the car talking straight talk like this one and some of these are good and to the point. But, man, the ones where you and your wifey are happy and bubbly...I mean even when you and she looked at that house that was 400,000 - which I believe you did before you figured out honing in on this youtube growth angle in the way you have recently, it was so fun seeing you guys look at that house - but what made it amazing was just your way of being afterwards as you walked through the neighborhood. The one thing you and wifey do that is working for your manifesting abilities is you are in a belief you'll "do it" (whatever it is - get the house, get the car, get the money, grow the channel) and you are happy in being just at that place of knowing you'll get it...knowing you'll do consistent work for it, and being ok with that, not begruding that. Many people begrudge that work and want to bypass doing it but I don't think that is possible for most people. But you and wifey are always optimistic and smiling about the sun shining on the horizon 😎😎🌅🌅🌅for you and when I see you and hear you talking like that, it just makes me feel happy and uplifted inside. Of course, hearing you like this in this video is great too. It's matter of fact and that has a value as well. 👉👉👉 With the car - Man, I was hanging - wanting to see what you did with the car next. 😍😍😍 So I do think people want what you are calling your vlog - but it's still related to this (adventure of youtube growth and financial growth) as you are showing and letting us in your lives as to how all this youtube growth and $$ is allowing you to do different things in your life. (Tell us where that is at, even if you've decided to wait to get one - tell us why - we'll get value from that, even if you've delayed the purchase because you have a solid, well thought out reason we could learn from.) Of course, we know you won't have news to report on all the new things you can now do as your $$$ grows as you post a few times a week, but just as it unfolds along the way, tell us highlights of those things because it provides a context around the $$$ and it makes it more real for us. 💖💖💖Also, just as we get invested in you and Hann, of course we like to see that you fell in love, that you got engaged, that you are pregnant, etc. Of course we do like that and it is, in a way, a part of your youtube channel and $$$ growth story, although not completely interlocked in that, but as we have been invited into your world and you've uplifted us, we are interested in you for those highlights of your life. I think, in a way, you've sort of created something like a soap opera but without all the negative drama - thank God. But with those shows, you get addicted and want to find out what is next and you've kind of done that here with us audience members, but I think you've made us feel part of your lives, rather than being on the outside just watching. And I think it is from that which people want to see more of your lives and I think people want to just see how you come through things, and how you keep rising up, WITHIN all this part you are teaching on youtube growth and money - because as you win, we feel like we are winning - or that we can. Just don't over think it on one hand, but maybe fine tune where you go next. Just have fun like you have been. That is infectious (in a good way!) I LOVE your raw emotion. You're amazing. So you have that point correct - in that you gotta help people. But what you have been doing in the car like you are here, or with wifey at your house or wherever, is actually in the new vlogging style so long as there is a nugget in it that provides help and, yes, most of the gurus on this are suggesting to stick to a theme - like money, or working out, or a specific diet theme you help people on within that channel. You sort of naturally fell into it, but I think you did not have the full awareness of the nuances within it so I'm sharing the basics of it now and I hope it helps. You have helped me and inspired me to take out an old channel I'd given up on but never felt happy I never really "went for it" and I filmed myself for the first time in a few years. I posted me first video in a long time (on another channel than this one that I'm writing on) and I have another I'll post later this evening. So I hope my message helps you now cause you've helped me and I appreciate you and wifey. So, yes, weave in your lives, you've drawn people in. When I first found your channel, I was hooked, and I'd keep checking back for the new post! But a big part of that draw was just seeing you both in your environment and how uplifting it has been to hear you and, yes, to hear all these wonderful things about your youtube growth. It is also natural to gradually shift that talk too. Maybe start to weave in one of your videos in the week (of the few you post during the week) to share on some of those other ways you have actually made money on the side. All you need to do is just share your story. It’s still kinda like a vlog, but it has a focus, which is how you got to where you are. Analyze what you think made the difference in reaching 52.5K. Part of it is just being yourself, being authentic, being open and honest. People want to know your story and so you can just share that. With that sharing you will inadvertently be teaching them things. So, I’m 70 and I subscribed not too long after your first big growth. I thought it was cute when you said, “I guarantee…” because no one can really guarantee your specific experience… Everyone’s experience is unique, and your story is unique, so tell your story, how you got to 52+K… In the meantime, you will end up sharing other things like how you got your car (new or used, yeah I see you purchased a used vehicle - how did you come to that decision?), getting a different place to live… how did you get the place you’re in and why the choice for a different place? How did you get to the place of success with relationship, your son and … why did you decide to do a channel in the first place? These are questions I have and your viewers probably have. You can ‘share your story’. P.S. I’m a retired counsellor with three channels, one monetized, two I started in Sept/Nov. My thanks to you for sharing about “hashtags”. It seems to be working for me. Dontay, I really respect your grind! Coming from a person who has helped so many people with their credit and finances, as well as as being a former carsales woman, if you’re able to get a good rate, I say Finance because the per diem is so low. However, rates are higher and you did mention leasing so that you and wifey can build your credit so I’m assuming that your credit isn’t exactly where you want it to be. So if you do finance, you can always refinance in 6 to 12 months once your credit is built and literally cut your payments in half. If you need any advice, let me know. I would love to help in anyway possible. Save your big bucks for other things and emergencies. Credit unions are great when it comes to getting car loans and or refinancing and start putting your money in a high-yield savings account… let your money work for you. I’m so proud of you guys and excited to continue watching you grow. Wonderful channel and great family🔥Purchasing a car cash is great, but financing an inexpensive or used vehicle is good for building credit just make sure the APR is low. Choose a reliable car if it’s used like Toyota or Lexus. Get a secure credit card from your local bank like Citi or Bank of America to your build credit and you good 👌🏾

I’ve built many personal brand channels and faceless channels over the years, some successful, and some not so successful. I think it’s important to do whatever suits you, but I don’t think it’s a good idea to quit your job or quit any business for RUclips. It’s a grind, it’s hard, it’s not as easy as people think it is. P.S. It’s me again 70 yr old Sue… I started a channel, “Two Seniors…” and in a way it got hijacked. I was posting various creative endeavours and didn’t get much attention. Then one day I posted a camping trip (Two Seniors Camping) and that video went crazy, helped me get monetized. I struggled for a year after that because I DIDN’T WANT TO DO camping… But that was the only niche that people responded to. So, finally I said, “Okay, you win…” I pulled my crafting/knititng video out from the camping, focused on camping in “Two Seniors: Stan & Sue” and created channel #2. Yarn Tales & threads. That channel is growing, and it’s growing a little more steady since I used your idea of hashtags. Then, I just wanted a channel where I didn’t care what I posted. I wanted to document my youtube journey. But once again, people responded to some senior moments I put up and once again, I feel like I’ve been hijacked…lol… with that channel, “Always Expect the Best” I am going to continue doing what I want to do. I’m not counting on it being monetized. I will post senior moments and a record of my journey…lol… Meanwhile… lol… I’m thinking… I should be putting all this in a video log… Anyway, I wish/pray for continued success for you. You once mentioned (hopefully) gaining enough money so you could go to school. I think you said that. That was a wise comment and I wish that for you (if you want it). I returned to school at 38, was a dumb little kid leaving school at grade 10 with 52%. So, going back to school was a big decision for me. Same here. I had to follow what the people wanted to see on my channel. Royal family blew up my channel, so who am i not to post what they actually want to watch. I am now working on my 6th monetised channel.
Do not purchase a car with financing before you purchase a home. It will go against your debt to income ratio. Do not get student loans. When you purchase a home you will need 2years on the job doing the same type of work. Generally speaking, it’s not a good idea. That vehicle is in the $60 to $70k range and you will be spending a lot on gas. It’s also not a great idea to lease vehicles if you plan to drive for extra income, there are penalties for going over the mileage under lease agreements.
The most expensive way to have a car is to lease it (from what I've learned and understand). The most economical way to have a car is to save up and buy a used car, then start saving for the next one down the road.

I think you're on the right path of trying a little balance and testing your ability on another topic, with a little family vlogging. I just wanted to say that one other thing that you offered with the RUclips content was your contagious enthusiasm. You are doing well to consider how you are encouraging people and the awareness that RUclips fluctuates, but you also have such a great level of motivation. People were coming, not just to hear RUclips, but to gain courage and motivation on RUclips. They like to hear someone say, "You can do it", to the degree that it's realistic. I think you are gaining more realism and still maintaining that motivation. A bit of a motivation speaker. You are on the right path.
🤩🤩 I have enjoyed your videos where you are talking about the youtube stuff and I like it more when your wife is there and you both doing your thing, and I like when you showed yourselves test driving the car within all of this teaching about how to do youtube that was so fun to go on that adventure with you. It is good to mix it up, too, like this type of video here. It was fun to know how you both were able to shop for gifts for Christmas 🎄🎄 together because of the youtube money. It's kind of a bit of a vlog about your life a little bit, mixed with great info on youtube growth and had the proof of the money and the life upgrade naturally in the mix of you being able to shop. It was awesome you shared about that. I enjoyed the video where you had the truck you'd been test driving. In a way - more of a vlog like the older vlog style in that we are there with you on part of that adventure, but still centered around this youtube growth. It's exciting to see and hear!
It's ok with just you sitting in the car talking straight talk like this one and some of these are good and to the point. But, man, the ones where you and your wifey are happy and bubbly...I mean even when you and she looked at that house that was 400,000 - which I believe you did before you figured out honing in on this youtube growth angle in the way you have recently, it was so fun seeing you guys look at that house - but what made it amazing was just your way of being afterwards as you walked through the neighborhood. The one thing you and wifey do that is working for your manifesting abilities is you are in a belief you'll "do it" (whatever it is - get the house, get the car, get the money, grow the channel) and you are happy in being just at that place of knowing you'll get it...knowing you'll do consistent work for it, and being ok with that, not begruding that. Many people begrudge that work and want to bypass doing it but I don't think that is possible for most people. But you and wifey are always optimistic and smiling about the sun shining on the horizon 😎😎🌅🌅🌅for you and when I see you and hear you talking like that, it just makes me feel happy and uplifted inside. Of course, hearing you like this in this video is great too. It's matter of fact and that has a value as well.
👉👉👉 With the car - Man, I was hanging - wanting to see what you did with the car next. 😍😍😍 So I do think people want what you are calling your vlog - but it's still related to this (adventure of youtube growth and financial growth) as you are showing and letting us in your lives as to how all this youtube growth and $$ is allowing you to do different things in your life. (Tell us where that is at, even if you've decided to wait to get one - tell us why - we'll get value from that, even if you've delayed the purchase because you have a solid, well thought out reason we could learn from.)
Of course, we know you won't have news to report on all the new things you can now do as your $$$ grows as you post a few times a week, but just as it unfolds along the way, tell us highlights of those things because it provides a context around the $$$ and it makes it more real for us.
💖💖💖Also, just as we get invested in you and Hann, of course we like to see that you fell in love, that you got engaged, that you are pregnant, etc. Of course we do like that and it is, in a way, a part of your youtube channel and $$$ growth story, although not completely interlocked in that, but as we have been invited into your world and you've uplifted us, we are interested in you for those highlights of your life. I think, in a way, you've sort of created something like a soap opera but without all the negative drama - thank God. But with those shows, you get addicted and want to find out what is next and you've kind of done that here with us audience members, but I think you've made us feel part of your lives, rather than being on the outside just watching. And I think it is from that which people want to see more of your lives and I think people want to just see how you come through things, and how you keep rising up, WITHIN all this part you are teaching on youtube growth and money - because as you win, we feel like we are winning - or that we can. Just don't over think it on one hand, but maybe fine tune where you go next. Just have fun like you have been. That is infectious (in a good way!)

👉BTW - THIS is actually a vlog but it is within what some people are calling the "new vlogging" style that IS working. It has a point and an educational help within it (rather than just shoing yourself doing whatever with no helpful talk about anything in particular) and pros who are teaching on the new vlogging information are clear about that. So you have that point correct - in that you gotta help people. But what you have been doing in the car like you are here, or with wifey at your house or wherever, is actually in the new vlogging style so long as there is a nugget in it that provides help and, yes, most of the gurus on this are suggesting to stick to a theme - like money, or working out, or a specific diet theme you help people on within that channel. You sort of naturally fell into it, but I think you did not have the full awareness of the nuances within it so I'm sharing the basics of it now and I hope it helps. You have helped me and inspired me to take out an old channel I'd given up on but never felt happy I never really "went for it" and I filmed myself for the first time in a few years. I posted me first video in a long time (on another channel than this one that I'm writing on) and I have another I'll post later this evening. So I hope my message helps you now cause you've helped me and I appreciate you and wifey.
So, yes, weave in your lives, you've drawn people in. When I first found your channel, I was hooked, and I'd keep checking back for the new post! But a big part of that draw was just seeing you both in your environment and how uplifting it has been to hear you and, yes, to hear all these wonderful things about your youtube growth. It is also natural to gradually shift that talk too. Maybe start to weave in one of your videos in the week (of the few you post during the week) to share on some of those other ways you have actually made money on the side. Or start going into what to do with some of this youtube money. Like set some aside and invest it to grow over time so that money is working for you. Or whatever.

All you need to do is just share your story. It’s still kinda like a vlog, but it has a focus, which is how you got to where you are. Analyze what you think made the difference in reaching 52.5K. Part of it is just being yourself, being authentic, being open and honest. People want to know your story and so you can just share that. With that sharing you will inadvertently be teaching them things. So, I’m 70 and I subscribed not too long after your first big growth. I thought it was cute when you said, “I guarantee…” because no one can really guarantee your specific experience… Everyone’s experience is unique, and your story is unique, so tell your story, how you got to 52+K… In the meantime, you will end up sharing other things like how you got your car (new or used, yeah I see you purchased a used vehicle - how did you come to that decision?), getting a different place to live… how did you get the place you’re in and why the choice for a different place? How did you get to the place of success with relationship, your son and … why did you decide to do a channel in the first place? These are questions I have and your viewers probably have. You can ‘share your story’. P.S. I’m a retired counsellor with three channels, one monetized, two I started in Sept/Nov. My thanks to you for sharing about “hashtags”. It seems to be working for me. Dontay, I really respect your grind! Coming from a person who has helped so many people with their credit and finances, as well as as being a former carsales woman, if you’re able to get a good rate, I say Finance because the per diem is so low. However, rates are higher and you did mention leasing so that you and wifey can build your credit so I’m assuming that your credit isn’t exactly where you want it to be. So if you do finance, you can always refinance in 6 to 12 months once your credit is built and literally cut your payments in half. If you need any advice, let me know. I would love to help in anyway possible. Save your big bucks for other things and emergencies. Credit unions are great when it comes to getting car loans and or refinancing and start putting your money in a high-yield savings account… let your money work for you. I’m so proud of you guys and excited to continue watching you grow. Choose a reliable car if it’s used like Toyota or Lexus. Get a secure credit card from your local bank like Citi or Bank of America to your build credit and you good 👌🏾

You know, I’ve been so many videos about this type of content being misleading and whatever however, I think it’s cool to watch people’s journey and see how they’ve grown. Keep going! I’ve built many personal brand channels and faceless channels over the years, some successful, and some not so successful. I think it’s important to do whatever suits you, but I don’t think it’s a good idea to quit your job or quit any business for RUclips. It’s a grind, it’s hard, it’s not as easy as people think it is. But if you put in the work, you will make it over time. Keep going everyone!

Then one day I posted a camping trip (Two Seniors Camping) and that video went crazy, helped me get monetized. I struggled for a year after that because I DIDN’T WANT TO DO camping… But that was the only niche that people responded to. So, finally I said, “Okay, you win…” I pulled my crafting/knititng video out from the camping, focused on camping in “Two Seniors: Stan & Sue” and created channel #2. Yarn Tales & threads. That channel is growing, and it’s growing a little more steady since I used your idea of hashtags. Then, I just wanted a channel where I didn’t care what I posted. I wanted to document my youtube journey. But once again, people responded to some senior moments I put up and once again, I feel like I’ve been hijacked…lol… with that channel, “Always Expect the Best” I am going to continue doing what I want to do. I’m not counting on it being monetized. I will post senior moments and a record of my journey…lol… Meanwhile… lol… I’m thinking… I should be putting all this in a video log… Anyway, I wish/pray for continued success for you. You once mentioned (hopefully) gaining enough money so you could go to school. I think you said that. That was a wise comment and I wish that for you (if you want it). I returned to school at 38, was a dumb little kid leaving school at grade 10 with 52%. So, going back to school was a big decision for me. Do not purchase a car with financing before you purchase a home. It will go against your debt to income ratio. Do not get student loans. When you purchase a home you will need 2years on the job doing the same type of work. Generally speaking, it’s not a good idea. That vehicle is in the $60 to $70k range and you will be spending a lot on gas. It’s also not a great idea to lease vehicles if you plan to drive for extra income, there are penalties for going over the mileage under lease agreements.
The most expensive way to have a car is to lease it (from what I've learned and understand). The most economical way to have a car is to save up and buy a used car, then start saving for the next one down the road.
