Thank you so much for posting this! I just saw them at First Av after a too many years absence. It is unbelievable how much joy Dave Pirner has brought to my life. I missed parts of Friday's show because I was completely in awe. Actually brought me back about 35 years to being 16 again when he played Made To Be Broken. Similar feeling watching the band play Easy Steet here. Now I can see what I've been missing.

YEARS ago I bumped into Dan Murphy while rollerblading at the old Metrodome in Minneapolis. Being a huge Soul Asylum fan I was completely awestruck. I still tell people the story to this day. What ever happened to Dan? According to Wikipedia he was only active in music up until 2012?

Yes. Murph quit in 2012. I love and miss him. But, the show must go on. He's also recently been doing a new thing in town. New band. Heard they're great.
