Bro, can't express how happy I'm to have stumbled upon your review. We had just seen the movie yesterday (after hearing it's a great movie from a couple of our trusted reviewers and public opinions), but still went with minimal expectations, since that's how kollywood has been for last decade or so.
Not gonna lie, it's a good movie (especially when compared to all other garbage we are getting recently). But and it's a huge but, it is still not that great as being proposed everywhere online. I was fine with almost 70-80% of the movie, except for the blatantly uninspiring emotional scenes, music, and in particular the casting and climax. What a waste of an opportunity for the director to make his mark. He had an original story, a pakka nonlinear screenplay and the most imperative star power. Why couldn't have the team worked on perfecting the climax and casting(Anurag Kashyap, Abirami, that daughter, and sorry but SingamPuli?)
Boys Manikandan role, I'm not sure what that is, is he a super villain? How's he overpowering that giant of a politician?
It was just like you guys have said, the food was tasty but yet was not satisfactory.
After watching the movie, the first thing we did was search throughout YT to check all reviews to see if anyone else had the same feeling us. Everywhere it was just praises. I'm not saying the movie doesn't deserve them, but still I wanted people to also speak about what was missing, so we can expect more sub good movies.
I'm glad at least your channel has spoken some of these concerns. Felt like "en enamada nee"😊
