NASA Issues Warning: Massive Object Headed Our Way! Earth is always in danger of being struck by the numerous asteroids which can orbit very close to Earth. Watch this awesome video on some of the major near orbits of comets over the past 20 years. Asteroid 2019 OK passed Earth in 2019, and was one of the closest orbits in recent times, and asteroid 1998 OR2 also passed very close by. NASA is currently keeping an eye on asteroid Apophis, which is coming around soon. NASA is currently working on ways to prevent asteroid impacts and other ways to protect Earth.
