Love your channel my dude. Very down to earth and fun to watch, you got yourself a new subscriber! I'm slightly confused about how the dice work in this game mode though, you keep saying stuff like "8 just rolled" and "I don't think another 7 will roll soon", but is the dice balanced for 1v1 ranked? I thought each roll would be completely random and isolated, and whatever has been rolled prior to each roll would not affect the next rolls?
Game 2 first pick: I think 9/5/10 point up is the right idea, but it’s pretty hard to spot in game. Keeping the opponent off of the 10 ore is a big strategic win that doesn’t translate easily when looking at pure production.
It did cross my mind briefly, but it’s hard to take that given all the huge production spots. The 10 ended up barely rolling so maybe a good thing I didn’t take it
Slow down man, forgot you had a knight for a few turns in that last game. I'd play some four player games because it forces you to play more precise. You can get away with quite a few mistakes in 1v1s and still win. Idk how new you are to the game but you gotta think more deeply if you wanna improve. For example, it doesn't matter how much that 9 rolled, that roll is his only path to victory you cant leave it open. Also I'm not just yapping I've had over 60% win rate past three seasons. Edit: I do like the channel btw, keep up the good work!
I appreciate you stopping by and leaving feedback! Exactly what I need to continue getting better at the game, I’m gonna slow down and be more mindful when I play moving forward! Good luck with your climb as well and I hope to see more of your tips here!
9:05 this is a moment to stop and think, you have the ore and the opponent is out of settles. By going up 2 cities to 0 here you take a huge production advantage in what is likely to be a long game (lack of ore for cities). He can’t both city and dev. Devs are super nice here but I think it’s a pretty big error.

Welcome to the channel, glad to have you here! And yeah ranked 1v1 uses a balanced dice approach so each roll isn’t independent
15:57 I think it's a fine first pick. You get either 9-4-11 or 8-4-3 and have a great expansion with the 9-10 3:1.
True!

@@itsOKKCatan for sure, I’m glad it worked out! I just like going deep on the analysis sometimes.

Such a good point wow didn’t even realize
21:14 Didn't you forget something? 60% to get a dev.
22:50 Come on. They just rolled ore and stole a sheep. These blocks have to be way more precise.
24:09 8-3-4 is the much better city. You want to double the brick and keep blocking the 10 wheat.
Also true
I need to get better at blocking for sure
What did you mean by this?
how'd you get the pink color ?
