    Nice ☺️ Good UI is a whole art form ontop of the art that is the game that sits on top of the graphics of the game that...oh god, I'm going full pix-ception..

    It's the small details that can capture a game's vibe. Things players don't see can still leave a big impact on them.

    I think the skill tree ui is outstanding! i especially love that its in the roots. Such a unique play on the "tree"
    It would be a neat idea since youre skills are in the roots that some are locked behind some mycelial network. Almost as if you have to find something unique to grow this network.
    I find mycelial networks in the real world to be so interesting. I would love to see some kind of take on it in video games.

      @@PeterMilko I just like riffing ideas.
      Or imagine the mycelium can link two skills together. like a jump skill networked to a fire skill gives you fire jumps or something.

    Hi, Pete! Just wanna say that your stuff has taught me so much about pixel art and you've been an inspiration since I started 3 years ago. I wouldn't even start doing pixel art if I didn't watch your videos! I hope I can be a game dev like you someday. DevLife! 🤟🏻

    Damn, the first screenshot is from my game, "Myrne: The Quest" :O
    Almost had an heart attack. Luckily, it's from a WIP screenshot, it changed quite a bit between this and release^^

    Guys, what will happen if I write code like this?
    Update()
    {
    float deltaX = Input.GetAxis("Horizontal");
    float movement = deltaX * moveSpeed * Time.fixedDeltaTime;
    _rigidBody2D.velocity = new Vector2(movement, rb.velocity.y);
    }
    I mean using in Update method Time.fixedDeltaTime instead of Time.DeltaTime can break my game or something?

      Time.fixedDeltaTime is whatever your physics update is. So that would be used in FixedUpdate(). Using it in Update() is usually wrong, it won't break your game but it will lead to framerate related bugs
