"Tashi, a tennis player turned coach, has transformed her husband from a mediocre player into a world-famous grand slam champion. To jolt him out of his recent losing streak, she makes him play a challenger event -- close to the lowest level of tournament on the pro tour. Tensions soon run high when he finds himself standing across the net from the once-promising, now burnt-out Patrick, his former best friend and Tashi's former boyfriend."

Great review man. I've been intrigued by this film but not super excited but now I'm looking forward to it. The style, acting and soundtrack sounds like a soap opera in cinema and here for it!

I’ll be honest I was not in a huge rush to check this one out but this def sounds like a hit and that this movie really delivers glad to hear you had a good time with this one and will be checking it out great review man
This is definitely a cool movie and I can see a lot of people loving it. I wish it had more emotional thriller aspects than it did, but it's still a very entertaining ride. Thanks for watching, dude!

I was really hyped for this film. But with Zendaya in this it'll make some good money. But now I'll have to check out that soundtrack. Great review Sully!

Chosing a favorite sports movie is tough. I like a lot of them...for a lot of different reasons. Cinderella Man, The Replacements, Necessary Roughness, Varsity Blues, Caddyshack, ... The he list goes on. Have a great weekend man.
I need to give Varsity Blues a rewatch soon, kind of an underrated gem of the genre. Caddyshack always deserves a spot on that list. Thanks for watching, JM!
I’m definitely far apart from the majority of the scores I’ve seen. This was a struggle to get through and the countless times the characters are talking and the music is turned up way too loud drowning out dialogue drove me nuts.

Great Review, Sully! I finally got around to seeing it last night, and unfortunately I was really disappointed. I just didn’t resonate with any of the characters here, and the ending was just way too clunky and predictable for my taste. Zendaya was brilliant though!
I for one am glad the film did not slide into sordidness. I wish it were even more Wholesome for wonderful Zendaya. She deserves that. Wholesome Zendaya wisely has a "NO Nudity" clause in her contracts. Thank God! The acting, cinematography, and musical score in CHALLENGERS are magnificent! Zendaya, Josh, and Mike should be remembered at OSCAR time. And my favorite sports movies are REMEMBER THE TITANS, led by the great OSCAR-winning, Denzel Washington, and also starring "It" Man of the Moment, a young Ryan Gosling; then' the film, THE GREATEST GAME EVER PLAYED a golf movie based on the real life very young amateur, Francis Ouimet, actually winning the U.S. Open, and of course, the great. BEND IT LIKE BECKHAM!

I'm honestly surprised the Potion Seller guy wrote the screenplay.
I just had to look up what that meant, and now I'm also surprised...
