Exactly at that distance as a kid a moving satelite you could confuse as a shooting star. Reflecting as a adult you ask yourself was it a shooting star or a satelite.

I think he's saying, "I wished upon shooting stars, or were they sateliites? Maybe they weren't too far." In childhood, he believed in the magic of shooting stars, but when he got older he learned about satellites ...so he's doubting his childhood belief. The same with dandelions ...now he knows their weeds and he doesnt let them grow in his yard.

Great reaction guys...Some of Tom's best stuff has never been released on youtube...he has alot of emotional songs(there are some on RUclips, but..) he speaks on his addictions, his depression & breakdown where he was suicidal (altho he may talk about it, cause he goes through it, he doesn't glorify suicide or anything) his anxiety, all kinds of different topics. It's one reason we ride so hard with & for him as many of us relate if we're honest.. It's just that the songs people know about and do the bigger numbers are the political & social issue type songs. The captions for perfectly audible lyrics are _always_ ridiculously wrong. Read them if you need a good laugh. The chorus on _this_ song just says *[Music].* Certainly no help there.
