Island DLC speculation
Planet zoo is a park builder game where you can let your creativity go wild. - Игры
I gotta totally agree with you here. I do believe Islands is going to happen next. Hopefully an animal pack as well. A pygmy three Toed sloth however? Probably not. I could be wrong but I believe due to their population being so incredibly low, I don't think any zoos have them. Also you forgot to mention that the Lar Gibbon and Walrus are both Island animals as well and I think have just as likely a chance of being added in if we do receive an animal pack. Overall good video though!
I definitely thought of the walrus as well! It is definitely more likely than other animals I mentioned like the Scottish wild cat though I wanted to represent some lesser known animals since Frontier likes to throw curve balls. I didn't even think of the Lar Gibbon but it is totally an island animal and totally a perfect replacement for the pygmy three toed sloth!
I personally don't think we get any more Gibbons and that they choose the Siamang as a rep for that species.

Twilight gave us bats, and Grasslands gave us butterflies...I'm hoping they push their definition of "islands" to include Australia itself so we can finally get budgies, which would be a perfect next step for the walk through exhibits
Or flying foxes !!
Or shark tunnels!
Fossa was confirmed today in the live stream. Island seems to be on target, too. During the live stream, the hosts were paddling around in a boat in front of a tropical looking jungle. In fact, this "exact" building was sticking out of the jungle @7:31. So I think we are getting some build pieces and at least some will be Indonesian. Great job to have pointed this out a month ago.
the packs can still be season themed, because in the southern hemisphere and december january & febuary are summer in the southern hemisphere

I work with that exact tree kangaroo AND tassie devil in the photos that you used! 🤩
I’ve always wanted to see a crab species for an exhibit animal
Same, especially the coconut crab.
A crab would be an awesome exhibit animal. The coconut crab (being an island animal) could be big enough to be a habitat animal.
@@JuicyBblue YES imagine
while on the subject of crabs, what about a crab eating fox? if we ever do get a crab exhibit animal, it'd be awesome to have a crab eating fox to go with it. (edited message as i thought, crab eating foxes were endangered, google says they are a least concern. still a neat animal though.)
@@CyberCroc7910 I would love sea otters, don’t know if they eat crabs though.
Honestly, I would welcome a marine iguana, since if it was a habitat animal, that could mean a free update changing the current iguanas into habitat animals since they could probably just put them on the same rig as the marine iguanas since they all kinda do the same basic things besides diving for food. I'm a firm believer that Iguanas should be habitat animals because the Nile Monitor is and it's about the same size
Like... i think they won't do a lot of animals from Oceania and Africa in an Islands Pack... especially looking at the 2 recent land packs.
The Wetlands pack contained one African and one Oceania animal (Nile Lechwe and Platypus).... but the Grasslands pack was predominantly formed out of those 2 continents, with the Emu and Red Necked Wallaby from Oceania and the Caracal, Blue Wildebeest and Striped Hyena from Africa, while the outliers were South America and North America (Maned Wolf and Nine Banded Armadillo)... so imo... we can skip Africa inclusion for an Animal pack this time around... considering North America and Asia had to sit out one of the land pack in terms of representation.
So for an Islands Animal Pack... my guesses are
Tasmanian Devil (Oceania)
Goodfellows Tree-Kangaroo (Oceania)
Walrus (Europe)
Japanese Serow (Asia)
Ocelot (South America, appears on the carribean islands of Trinidad and Margarita). Alternative can be the Tamandua
Collared Peccary (North America)
Sloth (South America)
However... if they want to argue having the Kangaroo and Red-Necked Wallaby is enough, they can also go for the Perentie as the Oceania representative. Imo... we need more Monitor Lizards and i feel like the Perentie would fit right in.
Interesting observations, personally when I looked at an island pack I ignored Continental representation and like to focus on giving attention to some lesser represented islands. That is how I forged this speculative pack. Oceania and the Pacific ocean has many islands that aren't represented in the game or at least very limited. Like New Zealand, New Guinea and Tasmania. Other islands who I think deserve some love are the British isles, Japan, The Galapagos Islands and Central American Islands. most of the animals I mentioned (with the fossa being an exception found on the very popular Madagascar) are only found on these islands around the world.
In my opinion we are passed looking at continents but a highland pack would be perfect to represent some of these continents you mentioned like North America, Europe and Asia.
If they do add an Island DLC I estimate it would have 6 animals 4 habitat 1 exhibit and 1 walkthrough.
My choices would be; Tasmanian Devil, Fossa, Southern Rockhopper Penguin and Japanese Serow while the exhibit animal would be Madagascan Day Gecko and the flying animal would be the Altantic Canary
Atlantic Canary would be such a random choice...of all birds why that one? I'm deeply offended by this
@@AgamemnonVsSocratesAandS I was looking for the wild variant of the domestic canary which I think come from the canary islands. nowadays I think the Budgerigar is the better option
@@ventureworld8046 I am thinking of budgie/cockatiel mixed walkthrough like butterflies ingame. I am of the apologies for freaking out on your name
I'd have another scenery pack before this start of March, hit the community with this in June, then Release Singular, base game animals, while releasing hints for birds, then come Christmas, Slam us with a 24-Avian Pack
Critically endangered animal pack:
Black rhinoceros
Malayan tiger
Persian onager
Philippine crocodile
Celebes crested macaque
Mediterranean monk seal
Arabian leopard
Titicaca water frog
Island Animal Pack🦩🏝
Tasmanian Devil, North Island Brown Kiwi, Matschie's Tree-Kangaroo, Coquerel's Sifaka, Fossa, Caribbean Flamingo,
Southern Rockhopper Penguin, Sumatran Rhino and exhibit Veiled Chameleon or Lord Howe Island Stick Insect.
I would really like to see the giant salamander, the kiwi and the Tasmanian devil in the game. Another cool animal would be the coconut crab as the first invertebrate habitat animal.
Coconut crab us awesome! Would be a great habitat animal
If they make and island pack i hope they will also give us some map skirts to go along with that
This pack seems fun but the exclusion of walkthrough exhibit or any flying bird makes it a bit unrealistic in my opinion since it is generally what they seem to be aiming towards atm
Good point! I'll look into walkthrough exhibits for future speculative videos.
I‘m very eager to get the Blue Penguin and Japanese Serow!Wish them could join the burrowing species and climbing ungulates in game. And in fact, African Penguin also could burrow, I don't know if Frontier will add this behavior to it
The little blue penguin is also an awesome pick for an island pack!
That would be nice! Then the Quokka should also be there, since that is really an island animal and since it is a very popular animal because of its cuteness!
You can scratch the pigmy sloth and the kakapo, Frontier cares about having animals that are actually found in zoo and both species aren’t present in any zoo’s collection, so if we get a sloth (probably as walkthrough exhibit animal, I hope) it will be a two-toed sloth, wich to my knowledge is the only sloth you can find in captivity
You make a good point. Although animals like proboscis monkey and Chinese pangolin are also very limited in zoos I thought the pygmy three toed sloth could have been acceptable.
Avian pack:
Scarlet macaw
Sulphur-crested cockatoo
Hyacinth macaw
Superb lyrebird
Blue-winged kookaburra
Rhinoceros hornbill
Temmick's tragopan
Toco toucan
That explains @georgeboggs4040 has requested a walrus as a headliner, which I'm trying to tell him to get to the Planet Zoo discussions via the forums, despite this was based on his speculations for the future of Planet Zoo.
I'm not quite sure what you mean 🤔
@@JuicyBblue Well here's what I show you about the posts about the walrus being a headliner of a speculative Islands DLC for Planet Zoo, by George Boggs, and here's proof #1 ruclips.net/user/postUgkxYbEwpCGcVkeAzBHCToyO677MLzl3FAra , Proof #2 ruclips.net/user/postUgkxXorjBMLBbkTQxUFWLwoJl8BF0zYcYv1a , Proof #3 ruclips.net/user/postUgkxRAz-hmOrDA-9xT5_oiiOqzj374TBF2ZK , and Proof #4 ruclips.net/user/postUgkxMacLtvH7gVSxo3o_ZBu54MRKMSw0IZki . I know why George Boggs , wanted or, what I think when he annoyingly involve me, craved attention about the walrus being a headliner of his speculations for the upcoming Planet Zoo Island DLC.
Pacific Island themed sounds excellent.
Really liked this video, a great analysis of the new pack ideas
A good exhibit animals to add would also be a tuatara
I agree! Tuataras are awesome.
Actually, I did design a DLC called Planet Zoo Costa Rica Animal Pack and there's going to be a sloth here along with a White Tailed Deer
I am hopeful in the future we get secretarybirds, marabou storks, and other flying oddities
I hope they have an Antarctic pack. Go with the leopard seal. The emperor Penguin. The chinstrap Penguin. And. The gentoo Penguin. Were the rockhopper Penguins? Or the macaroni Penguin. Want to talk about for the island pack What about the Hawaiian goose? That would be cool.
Leopard seal!!
I think islands is going out in the summer bc its an summet themed
It better be a marine pack
I totally agree on the islands idea! I made a video on it too
I saw your video too. I think Island pack is definitely the most likely! loved your vid!
Marine Iguana!!!! BTW where's large exhibit animals' prediction?
Do you mean walkthrough exhibit animals? Besides bats and butterfly species I can't see a walkthrough habitat have anything since I believe the first flying birds will be kept for a DLC focussed in birds.
@@JuicyBblue I personally think that every DLC I'm the future will contain at least one walkthrough exhibit, IMO.
Lorikeets, anybody?
Would make a PERFECT prelude to Birds
We need kakapo
Mountain pack:
Mountain gorilla
Mountain goat
Chinese goral
Gelada baboon
Ethiopian mountain viper
island pack… with australian animals… I need quokkas SO BAD, they’re so sweet and live on rottnest island
Linnaeus's two toed sloth isn't an island animal and I wouldn't want a sloth in an island pack
You are right. The sloth I mentioned however is an island animal and I used the meta wishlist to show that sloths in general are highly requested despite that species specifically not being an island animal.
Africa animal pack:
Lesser kudu
African leopard
Crested porcupine
Honey badger
Southern ground hornbill
Olive baboon
Impala
Masai giraffe
i finely got all dlcs yesday
Great theory but we'll have to find out ourselves.
you're right!
Primate animal pack:
White-faced saki
Red howler
Black handed spider monkey
Golden lion tamarin
Guereza colobus monkey
Dusky leaf langur
Mongoose lemur
Coquerel's Sifaka
i’m from the future 1.13 is an island update
The addtion of a sloth in this pack is a forced and non-sensical idea. The game has been very realistic regarding the species they chose to include, and they only pick species that are know to be kept successfully in captivity. That species of sloth is not present in zoo collections contrarily to the others, so it will be highly improbable to see it included. Rather see a sloth in a rainforest animal pack or the tree kangaroo in the islands pack.
I completely agree, therefore I provided a better alternative, the tree kangaroo.
@@JuicyBblue the art of speculation is a tricky one. If speculation is predicting something, you should take the route of logic (like when someone predicts the weather using data and climate models). Which in this case would lead to you picking the tree kangaroo as a first choice (because it is the most logical according to the information we have from the past of PZ). If speculation is letting our fantasies run wild, well then why not expecting for a blue whale in the future of PZ?
still remember when on august 2022 island pack would be out. pathetic.
