I put together a 30 minute talk with heavy picture-in-picture based on these instructions. Yes, it took me all day, but I got the job done, and this video was the reason. Thank you so much!
A very good Tutorial; I couldn't find a good one in German but yours is very easy and clear, I guess nearly everyone is able to understand how to do it thank you very much!!
audio crispy loud&clear, tone clear, pace right, content right to the point, this is the quality we all need to aim for for content creating in youtube :). Big thumb up!
:( All I wanted was a way to do an oral presentation for my class. technology is too much for an old school person like me. Thank you for this lecture. I will need to go over it a few times to learn how to do it properly. I will use this video to help me with the oral presentation for class.
Sir, i love the way you make you videos and your pedagogical approach, the speaking tempo and the content. Perfect. Perfect perfect. I will follow from today :)
Brilliant! You are a genius. It’s great to learn how to make professional videos using the software that comes with my iMac. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Your Quick Time videos are Super helpful. Panicked until I found you :) I need to make a video interview and put it into my Quick Time movie. Will I be able to use Zoom for the interview and add to my Quick Time movie, or what do you recommend? Also, when it comes to inserting pictures, what picture/photo format should I use. Thanks a billion!
Thanks so much for this ... your teaching style is incredible ... simple to understand and implement. I've been struggling to figure this out for quite a while and you explained it all in under 16 minutes!
Watching this again, unknown times at this point. Just the simplicity I want (don't want to become a software engineer). I do have a request on a video. RUclips Beta, now the default, is still too complicated or obscure for me. The Endscreen handles have moved and nothing intuitive gets them to move. I still have to use Classic. Although, your job is much simpler than mine. Those buttons are always going to be where you can find them. Inventing bioplastics is not so easy. Thank you so much for making easy to follow videos on subjects related to RUclips video production.
This is so well done. I wonder if you (or anyone else reading this) have any insight on how to do this but with the added wrinkle of sometimes using the webcam recording picture in picture, and sometimes switching to a phone camera face recording in split screen within iMovie. Thanks.
Hi Mike, I found that in the new screen capture mode one can elect to record screen without audio. So by doing this I just record the webcam with sound and this solves one issue. Thx for your excellent sharing, i watch all the adverts so you get paid but think Patreon would be great for your content too.
Just found your channel mike, very helpful, appreciate you sharing 30 years of video editing experience. Have subbed. I’m always looking to improve my editing skills on my RUclips channel, so many thanks. Regards shane.
Thank you for the kind words, Shane, and thanks for subbing! I really like how you're using visuals in your videos. Great use of the medium. What editing software are you using?
I use iMovie, have been for a few years and still learning new things, I dare say that when I completely know it, I’ll move on to pro. Thanks again mike. You have a nice easy going presenting style as well, which I like. Atb. Ciou
Thanks, Mike. Your presentation is concise and clear. Just a question: is there a way where I can use Keynote presenter view to record my along with your webcam?
Hi Michael, thank you for this amazing & very clear tutorial. I have a request on how to make zoom training more exciting, especially the transition from share screen into webcam. Warm regards from Indonesia
Thanks for a fantastic video Mike. it's a pity that we can't use picture in picture and green screen at the same time. That would eliminate the background on the webcam shot. Or is there ar way we can do it?
Great tutorial video! Very useful for me. I'm trying to use OBS to do it all together in a scenery at once but when I push the play button on Keynote it does not permit me to use CMD TAB on my Mac Book Pro to access OBS again in order to select the Keynote presentation window in play mode and complete my scenery. I think I'll use your method. Thank you for sharing it! Congratulations from Brazil !
Please teach how to use keynote, a face shot of the presenter, with screen flow and camtasia. With the present crisis I need to be doing this every week on a mac or ipad
This is a fab video thank you! I need to produce a 15 minute presentation using these tools, but Im worried I cant do this without either coughing or getting tongue tied or lost. Should I film it in one go and cut bits out on imovie, or is it better to film this in portions? Is there an easy way to do that?
I have a question. On my old McBook air I was able to do a split screen and record my keynote presentation next to my webcam in a vertical position, all at once without having to use Imovie. It doesn't seem possible with Catalina. Any suggestion? I am a language teacher and a small picture on top of the Keynote doc is not practical to teach movements while talking and showing pictures. Your tutorials are awesome. You always make sure that even if we are not tech-savvy we can understand everything! Bravo!
You, sir, are amazing! - To the point, no unneeded words, great speaking voice, and valuable content. Thank you! 👍
Over and over I look at your video’s. Over and over again I learn so much. Thank you again and again.....:)

Glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much!! This was so accessible and helpful!

Thank you so much for the clear and easy-to-follow instructions! Saved my project when I realized I couldn’t record video in PowerPoint on a MacBook!!
Sir, i love the way you make you videos and your pedagogical approach, the speaking tempo and the content. Perfect. Perfect perfect. I will follow from today :)
