Watching again before s9 start. I noticed another summon zon vid he mentions a5 bo merc is best for hell, I'm just curious why you went with a4 dark merc?
@@Christoff070 Right. If I have high level amp bow on myself, I'll roll with act3 cold merc instead. There's 0% chance you can keep a melee merc alive through the UT fight, whereas with proper positioning a3/a4 have no issues.
@@bubblespd2 Any reason not to use Amp from spell steal? This would allow using a3 cold merc if its pefered. One small optimization I picked up from [327] for D2: 4:23:04 you can see a torch in the middle of the screen. If its position is closer to the right tree - you get the place with a quest organ. I would assume it works for PD2 as well.

I'll revisit this run once I'm done with ladder, I've ripped multiple sub7h paces in destruction key farm due to playing aggressively.
I applaud the effort to note it all down, but just so you know I was totally winging the stats and skills after 27. You just want enough str and dex for the bow you'll end up using and rest vit and skills would be all things that help decoy (penetrate included) and a couple crit for valks (as crit is bugged and doesnt work for decoys).
Tower has guaranteed 1 (sometimes 2 if you there's the corner tile with bonfire) elite packs per floor except in very rare cases, so I highly prefer that for hitting xp routing over trist. You want the stealth anyway and as an added bonus itheleth for malice in a brandistock will take you all the way to 27.

You never want to get archers and there were perfect random in your towers - only ghosts and the fallens and that's fucking awesome.The same thing in the barracks. It's probably not so important when you run amazon, but I run a sorceress and it's critically important to get good packs

As you can see from my average splits, I usually end up having to do 3 towers to hit my xp routing (the average splits include my decoyzon season starter runs to hell pits so the start is the exact same). However I end up playing the rest of the game a lot slower than in other runs, killing tons of extra stuff for charms and whatnot. Maybe I'll revisit this after I've recovered from doing so much zon stuff to get an actually solid time.
I would never run harmony in actual UT since it does nothing for decoys (would rather take a +1 caster bow), but it is incredibly helpful in keyfarming.
Seems like I screwed up in editing while cutting the afk time off, it's showing you the start of a3 hell before going back to a5 nm. If you jump to a3 hell at 4:19:10 you can see the part that's shown at 3:14:09 is missing from the footage. I probably accidentally dragged a split section there.
Yeah, it kinda saved the run as it put me above 30 passives with passion on (I would've crafted caster bows otherwise). Would've preferred any of the +2 circlets to be zon skills instead of shako though.

It's arguably the biggest part of d2 speedrunning, as almost all the dungeons have set rules for where the exit will be. Plenty of resources and guides to help you with that though, and the basics are very easy to pick up.

Oh hey, didn't know you were into pd2. The algorithm has been showing me your d2r runs. Also, I've ripped sub or low 7h runs twice in keyfarming since then with a new routing, so definitely can be a lot more impressive. It's just hard to find days where I have the whole day to spend.

Ive completed hell without a single elite drop, i really think that base MF is setted at character creation. There are some characters doomed to not be lucky at all. Thats why u should always have multiple characters.
Surprisingly none. I killed few runs myself due to bad rng while figuring out the routing for keys, but the 2 runs I got all keys for I also got a torch. I ripped a ton of mephi pulls back when doing the initial nogear UT run in s6 though, so I wouldn't call this exactly safe.

Ahn, nvm, forgot he has amp dmg ;)) plus he is ranged, which prob help him survive ubers more easily

Thanks. Yeah, you can roll the lowest amp affix with chippeds. Now you can also shop the higher amp bows at lvl41 and 81.

I have lvl 30 passives kill from crafters league with shopped amp+a3 cold and no charms.
