The West Indies won the first two cricket world cups in 1975 and 1979. That's how involved and dedicated are the Caribbean nations in the Gentleman's Game, creating legends such as Sobers, Richards, Lloyd, Marshall, Ambrose, Walsh and Lara, among many other greats.

@Red Legion Are you daft? Just because cricket exists as a subculture of sports, doesn't mean entire America watches and participates in it religiously. Or that it gets prime time. Or official patronage. Anyone can easily contextualize what I said: A cricket league exists in America, and people who are from Commonwealth countries (India, Pakistan, Jamaica) participate in it enthusiastically - hence, among them it thrives.

Cricket is more popular in the carribbean nations among its citizens than in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. And it's nice to see that Cricket is a popular sport in the tiniest of nations like Antigua and Barbuda.
