The Maze Runner is imo, one of the best trilogies, and is highly underrated. It only gets better with each movie. This era was awesome! I wish they made more adaptations like these 😭

Lmao this movie is "good" but nowhere near as good as the books. Like seriously nowhere close. The harry potter movies did a much better job capturing the "magic" of their book series than this did. Like one small nitpick is.. why did they change WICKED to WCKD? Was cutting the 3 seconds of the whole movie that it takes to say the extra words too much? So many weird choices. And why did they cast the kid from we're the millers to be gally? The least intimidating person on the planet lol. Like when they got that one kid from hannah montana to play Enders bully Bonzo in enders game. He's not intimidating at all so I can't take him seriously.
@@lolilol535 Well that's just your opinion and your allowed to state it. I personally think all 3 movies are amazing and i love every one of them. Some people love the series and some don't and that's ok. But just cause you don't like the last two movies doesn't mean that they aren't good to others who watch them. We all have different opinions and point of views. Plus its the characters,relationships and actors who do it for me. Also the story in whole is good as well. It keeps me at the edge of my seat the whole time and makes you go through all the emotions and that is what makes the series amazing. :)
Dylan O'brien and Ki Hong Lee did an amazing job in these movies.

Gally had a very strong point. If Thomas had never done the things he did it is very possible things would have stayed the same, which isn't bad. They basically lived like a farm village with some added adventure and risk, but because of Thomas and their desicion to go head 1st into what they found so many people died. Gally was never wrong for thinking the way he did

You don't seriously think WCKD would have kept them in there. The whole entire point was to test them, keeping them in that place doesn't achieve anything. It worked for a little and then they needed to change it up. Thomas, Gally, Teresa, doesn't matter who it was.. someone was going to change it up. If throwing Thomas under the bus is what some fans have to believe, that's all good. But Thomas did the right thing.
havent watched the vid yet so might be wrong but wasnt it a major plot point that they stopped sending supplies as well as new people? like yeah they have gardens or whatever but youd still need enough meat and water to sustain 10-20 growing teens...
WCKD was ramping up the science experiment because more people were dying from the scorch and there was still no anecdote. That they sent Thomas into the village meant their desperation was at peak.
@@tpk1412 tbh, I think the reason why WCKD stopped sending supplies is because the participants (Thomas, specifically) finally managed to kill a Griever. I think that it's like a checkpoint that made WCKD 'level up' the trial. Otherwise, they would've kept doing what they were doing. Obviously, they're not gonna do it indefinitely, but maybe a couple of years more, at most.
In the book, wckd always send some kind of serum every time they send the supply, at first the boys don't know what it is until they try to use it for who got stung, it works for some kids, it can control their changes, so make sense that Minho bring Alby back, so that he can get the serum. While in the movie, the serum just arrived when they send Teresa. Before read the book, I thought just because Alby is their leader that's why Minho bring him back, maybe he thought that they can figure out some way to heal him, though it makes no sense 😅
I never really cared much for the movies but I remember absolutely loving these books as a kid. Minho was definitely my favorite character

The books give a lot more details that were left out of the movies. The movies were good, but I preferred the books just because so much had to be cut and a lot was altered.

I think TMR has a much better book-to-movie adaptation than most. While a lot was altered, the theme, key messages, and significant character moments were still kept and just tweaked to better fit the film format. However, I do wish just a FEW things had been better explained, for example the "unique vocab". Greenie is an easy one to understand, but Shank and Klunk are fairly difficult without context. I still think the movies were well made though.
the maze runner is honestly one of the best trilogies, I've rewatched them all so many times and I watched Death Cure in the movies when it came out and I cried LOL
they banished ben bc he attacked thomas, not bc he was stung. i think they wanted to give him a proper burial, and in the books i believe they had some sort of cure for griever stings

It's not explained in the movie, but if I remember correctly Wicked used a "toned down" version of the Flare virus into the stings of the Grievers. Which is why it can cure people that have been stung.

Galley looks like Sid from Toy Story 1. 😂😂😂 You should watch a movie he did when he was a kid. It’s called Son of Rambow. Yes, that’s how it’s spelled. 😂😂 It’ll make sense if you watch it. It was such a underrated movie. I hated the kid at first because he’s an asshole, but then I understood him, and wanted hug the hell out of him. It got in my feels by the end of the movie. He’s a really good actor.
Planet of The Apes trilogy, one of the best ever. I recently rewatched it and Man it is waaaay better than today's movies...

This movie was good, but the books were top tier fiction. If they had adapted it correctly, it would have been an elite movie trilogy. But after the second one it was clear they didn't care about the books. So sad to see such great potential turned into Hollywood sludge.

I don't know if it clarifies it in the books (or in the movies; I haven't seen them in a long time), but I think Minho would have wanted to bring Albie back because he was their leader for so long and kept them all alive (working together, sticking to the rules to stay safe, etc.). Even though they'd have had to kill him or put him back in the maze, I think it was Minho and the guys' connection to Albie that made Minho want to try to save him from the maze, at least to care for him for a little longer.

Its been a long time since I read the books but if I remember correctly Minho didn't hit Gally with the spear. Chuck just jumped in front of Thomas and took the bullet, then Thomas beat the shit outta Gally

After watching and rewatching TMR so many times, I realize Gally is not the bad guy or an antagonist. He doesn't even dislike Thomas. From his perspective, he's been in the maze for 3 years, nothing has changed, then Thomas comes, all the rules and foundations that he built with Alby and Newt are broken and thrown away, and the more Thomas ventures; the more that is discovered, the more people he cares get hurt and/or killed. Gally doesn't know that they were put in the maze to escape it. So, he would rather stay in comfort and what he knows than risk it all for something that he doesn't believe is possible. In the end when everyone leaves, and Gally stays behind, the greivers come in and kill everyone. Gally gets away, but is infected. Because he knows the truth and who Thomas actually is, that results in his angry outburst towards the end and him killing someone he also cared for. No excusing his actions, just explaining his character. It easy to paint him as a villian, but Thomas make reckless decisions. Without his main character plot armor, he would've been dead.
