Also for everyone who owns these, the roller for volume is actually a 2 in 1. You can push and hold it for all your options on the receiver
I like the Arctis Nova 7 better I think. USB port is at a better place. the dongle is smaller and more portable, the battery last for almost 2 days and as I usually work with support for 9 hrs then game for 4 hrs or so I need to change the battery at least once a day. I as you fail to see why they made different versions -_-;; but I love them especially for the multi functionality.

Another banging review mate. I've got the Xbox version of these in for review and I'm just blown away. And I agree with you, it's so stupid that Steelseries made two versions of this headset.
Does the Xbox port work with ps and pc?
Well they have to do that since Xbox require an dedicated Xbox chip.. could argue they should have thrown the Xbox chip with the normal version but it would probably require more space since you would need 3 USB C plugs

How is the headset when you use it for living room gaming? Considering these but curious!
Picked up one of these the day before October Prime Day for $250.00. There is not a better Gaming Headset with the versatility you can buy at that price point. The only thing close would be the Wired version of Nova Pro. But for Wireless option Sound quality is second to none and having the ability to swap out Batteries on the fly makes it best solution for people who play games. I even uses the Bluetooth with my 65" OLED TV when I need to keep the noise down. Also get the XBOX Version that supports all Consoles and PC.
There is no down side using the Xbox version on the PS5 ? I got both and it’s little bit confusing… 😣
@@RAGExLEGACYx As long as you didn't get the one specific for PS5 and got the PC Version you should be fine. You can actually connect both to the base unit.. You can't uses the Sonar Software for PC but you have a lot of controls in the base unit to help modify the sound to deeper base or higher pitch sounds..

Hi! Is there a way to connect speakers through DAC to ps5? If so, is there a way to switch between the headphones and speakers via the DAC?
I recently bought the headset and was able to adjust the headset per sonar on the PC. But when I'm connected to the Ps5 and change the eq settings on the gamedac, the sound doesn't seem to change at all. Do I have to consider or adjust a setting in the Ps5? Do the eq changes need to be made on the pc for the ps5? Does the headset itself have to be connected to the cable for the changes to take effect?

Xbox version has one port dedicated to Xbox only. PC version you can use with 2 PCs or work PC and PS5 which I think you can’t do with the Xbox version
Correct, it also wasn’t up to SteelSeries, Microsoft has a requirement of a certain chip in devices that use 2.4ghz connections on the XBOX so SteelSeries was basically forced to make a separate XBOX version

If you want this headset to work well with ps5 and pc you have to go with that one, Xbox has proprietary hardware for wireless connections
The only con I have is that you can’t mute the headset with one click on the base station or headset itself. I just bought it and found the volume scroll wheel to be very very precise and this very slow. So when someone’s was talking to me I couldn’t j cut the volume to it for a minute. Very very nit picky but it’s something I noticed. At least An acceleration feature would’ve been nice.

Yes, except the PS5 version allows you to connect two devices at once, the XBOX also lets you do that but one of the two devices has to be an XBOX, if you connect a PS5 and an XBOX they’ll both work on the XBOX version as long as they’re plugged in in the right ports, but plugging in a PC and a PS5 on the XBOX version would only pass the audio of one of the devices, whichever is plugged in into the non XBOX labeled port

I just wish there was a video out there that shows you step by step how to set them up to the ps5, 6hours later a £330 headset will not pair to the dac.
I just got the Xbox version so that way it would work with everything. But I do also have the Sony XM4 headphones and they are absolutely amazing also. If I were you I would return and get the Xbox version so it will work with everything you've got....Just my opinion...

I didn’t notice any change in quality. They both connect through 2.4ghz through the base. Just gotta swap your input the same way you’d swap your tv input.
They both sounded the same to me, and it sounded amazing of course. No complaints

Hey man enjoyed your review. Gonna pick this headset and like you said to pick up the Xbox version. However did you notice any trade offs? They must have a reasoning for this, as like you said, it doesn't make sense. Does the Xbox version fully support the Tempest 3D audio and Spatial audio whilst wireless? I just can't wrap my head around it. I heard random things about other headsets not being fully compatible with Tempest 3D audio. Like some headsets do it fully certified and others don't. How are you finding the headset 4 weeks on?
Actually returned them, only because I also want the Xbox version. I’m just waiting for stock currently in my region.
To my knowledge there’s no trade off, just that I’ve seen the Xbox ones be maybe 20 bucks more. But most times same price.
They were easily the best headset I’ve had. If they don’t come back in stock I might legit just get the ps5/pc version again.
I didn’t realize I’d miss them so much since returning.

I can always send them back if they tempest doesnt work and just go for the PS5 version, cause I believe thats guaranteed on that one. I always have the official headset for the Xbox anyways.

@@haki3353 Yeah going with the Xbox Version will net you tempest and xbox 3d audio wireless. Going for Xbox means that one slot can only be used for xbox, leaving you the 2nd slot for PS5 or PC. I kinda wish they just had 4 ports on the back, with one being for Xbox. If you go with the PS5 version it means you can only use it on PS and PC but you can use both ports.

Yup! Just make sure you buy the Xbox version. It will connect through he base station for Xbox/PS5, and to your smartphone over Bluetooth

Great headset but for PS5 it’s definitely not worth the price especially when your missing the true capabilities the headset bc PC has can take advantage of the Sonar app to fully take advantage of the headset while the PS5 only gets basic features which sucks

If you dont want to plug in your PC to Line-in (no sonar) or XBox reserved-Port (lower Bitrate, no sonar because the port recogize the pc as Controller-device.) get the PS5 version and be happy. i had this headset for 1 day and returned it, i honestly hated it
The mics inside the earcups touching your ears makes you want to claw your eyes out! Earpads should have been much deeper or the mics should be out of the way. Make sure that you can return them at the place you buy them.

@@InternetRez I've used the 7th I've used the artist 7p I've used the artist 7P plus I've used the artist 9 I've used the artist Nova 7 And now I am using the artist Nova pro And they all do not work with RUclips whatsoever they disconnect automatically So all steel series headphones do not work with RUclips
So all the Bluetooth earphones made by steel series will not work with RUclips

Mine sound seriously distorted on consoles, actual garbage.
On pc it sounds normal no sound issues but on consoles it is vile

Its just not that good. I really want it to be and tested it for weeks, but no... its good but not amazing. Sound and soundfield compared to for example the Audeze Penrose does not even come close. Yes, it looks nice. Yes the features are and work amazing. No, the comfort is not that good. No, the sound is not that good. Anyway. I would not recommand this. And like I said, I have tested the heck out of this headset and wanted to keep it so bad, but I just could not because of the sound and the bad comfort. The headset will hurt after some hours, where the ANC in the earcup will cause pain in ear and head. Think twice before you buy this one.
Why are people so obsessed with these…? They’re actually so bad. They feel like cheap garbage and the sound quality is atrocious. The dacs cool tho.
