if you haven't got the original wacraft 3 this will detect it and ask you for CD key. maybe try with internet off at ur own risk let me know if that worked

Lifesaver i wished i've discovered your video early.
Black Screen, nothing but sound working, put my old monitor and changed the resolution Warcraft 3 Warcraft III
Screen Problem fix.
Edit: Had black screen again, runned the Registy editor and had to modify (right mouse button) the Refreshrate which was 78 instead of 60 causing my screen to be black.

I fixed mine by UNCHECKING lock aspect ratio in video options. After unchecking that I was able to select a lot more resolutions.
