The part where the Chaos Emeralds are explained to Shadow as magnetic to each other reminded me of that scene in SA2 where Tails tells Sonic about them being magnetic as well. That's a nice detail you put in there.
As much as I dearly love Maria Robotnik, something tells me that she'll be an evil figure in that universe. This considers the Modern VS Boom series trailer ending, how she obsorbs ALL of the single chaos emerald's energy with desperation to get more of it, and the fact that she is so calm through the whole fight. It's only a theory though, and one I find very intriguing.

This makes me think about the lost potential in the Boom verse and crossovers with Modern in the future. They could've had epic moment and heart wrenching moments like these. We could've also seen different sides to characters giving them more depth. The Boom verse officially had a some of things in reverse and you noticed that taking advantage of that aspect. For example Amy's relationship with Sonic with Boom Amy dating Boom Sonic consistently while denying being a couple while it's basically reverse for Modern Sonic's situation with Modern Amy. You made a reverse situation with Boom Shadow making Boom Maria. Multiverses could be very interesting when done right and you nailed it. Too bad SEGA doesn't utilize it to the maximum.
As always, such an incredible animation! And very clever use of the Episode Shadow soundtrack. This is one of the most intense battles of all time. Always love a Tag-Team battle! Hope to see more of this soon!!!

the fact that sonic recognised what meeting maria meant to shadow and the pain that comes along with it really shows how well characterized these characters are in this series, a lot better than recent sonic games (except frontiers)

This was way more awesome than i expected it to be! The story definitely has me hooked :D loved seeing more of Boom Shadow! I'm a big fan of him, he's so interesting and despite being from the goofy Boom verse he adds a very serious element to the plot... i think even more so than the original Shadow. Best character by far. Boom Maria is great too, so calm at all times... and it seems she can even fight on the same level as the hedgehogs! Holy glowing rocks! I would like to point out one more thing about Boom Shadow. Shouldn't he be refered to as ''Kaboom Shadow''? I mean, he's the only one from Sonic Boom who got a model redesign for the tv show and the edgelord phase of his personality that made people cringe at the time (''you are weak'' ''your friends make you weak Sonic'') was a thing only in Rise of Lyric... this Shadow right here looks the same as game Boom Shadow, keeps the edge but has a comedic side to him as well as his own backstory with Maria. To me that's a different character from the other 2 Booms. The ''Kaboom'' obviously comes from the video series on this channel where Shadow appears. It's just my opinion, i'm new to Sonic... the only games i have played are the mobile ones like Dash and Forces Speed Battle xD

And I think I know who might be her creator! It may be Gerald Robotnik! Towards the end of Boom Maria origins, it was shown that Maria passed in front of Gerald Robotnik! He could have came up with the idea of creating her. I don’t know. It’s kind of a theory.
