Building a CABINET for my cargo Van!

Wood is 7 1/4" Pine and weighs less than the 13" wide metal contractors rack I was originally looking at !!! Husband agreed to help as long as he's not in the video! :)

I built a lot of, "finish quality" pieces in my home. I like figuring out what I need, then building it.
I don't have a workbench or a lot of my tools anymore, but the floor worked out... lol

Good idea on using the wire grid to keep the dogs out of food in pantry. It seems to me it would also be good for keeping items on the shelves while driving down the road & hitting the occasional bump.

Yes! I think I said something about,
" going around corners " in the pre- edited video 🤣
When thinking about how to keep the dog/s out, it occurred to me that I had a crate divider that I wasn't ever going to use in my studio! Problem solved 😊

I was going to build 2 doors with latches... then remembered the dog crate insert that was stored in my studio!

My dog usually curls up at the foot of my bed, or on a sheep fleece on the floor if he wants to stretch out. His choice! 😊

When I was in school,
( 60's & 70's ) everyone took home economics AND woodworking. I fell in love with making furniture! I even had a Shopsmith when I was single to make, "things." 😊

@@avianmariner I do remember those school days during those times, yes. We are nearly the same age. It's amazing how time flies, what all we collectively remember from what we learned and how the current school days have dramatically changed in today's schools.
