'ANTICULT' highlights just how vital Decapitated have remained two decades deep into their career. Decapitated have long been undeniable masters of their craft and they are expanding their parameters with Anticult, which should elevate the band's profile beyond the death metal realm in which it has dominated for years.
"Anticult represents the legacy and future of Decapitated," said guitarist Vogg. "We're extremely proud of the record, in both the song compositions and the production. This is the best representation of our music and we're really excited for the world to hear it!"
The album's massive musical leap forward is evidenced by "Never." It's a song with an incredible bite and retains Decapitated's signature fury. But it's also undeniably catchy and takes up residence in your brain and stays there.
"'Never,' the first track we are showcasing from the record, is fast, it's technical, and most importantly, it's heavy," Vogg commented. "For us, it's what Decapitated is all about… and it will be really fun to play live. Enjoy it!"
Vocalist Rasta weighed in about the subject matter of "Never," offering this insight into the lyrical content: "There is no mystical, doomish fate waiting for us. The only judgment pending is our own. The simple relationship between cause and effect is what determines our future. We are now witnessing something that should never have happened - our homes have become our civilization's grave."

I legitimately love old decapitated, but new decapitated is such a unique technical/groove style that's still heavy, and there aren't a lot of bands that do that without going overboard on chugging or sweeps. Can't get enough of this shit.

This song is absolute metal heaven. That groove switch past the halfway point and then that fluid lyrical guitar solo over the relentless staccato riffing, damn that’s just ticking all the right boxes for me.

Love the multiple influences in this song. The main riff? Close to a sped up "I am the Antidote" by Lost Society. The overall vibe? Sepultura around Chaos AD with modern tone. The chorus? Gojira's Low Land-esque atmosphere. The ending? Very akin to War by Meshuggah !
Great album. All farts complaining about band not sounding like death metal just go and stick to your death metal. This is reality and I take it all the way.
I've been meaning to get more into these guys, first song I heard from them was blood mantre and thought it was sick but never got an album (distracted by other band releases) then I see this song and their "never" tracl, listened to both and really liked them. But reading all the comments about how everyone is complaining how they changed compared to their older releases.. I took the time to listen to them too and realized they're both great and different. Don't be so elitist guys..its not like they switched to rap or techno.
It's a BIG change. Decapitated has been around for 20 years, so of course they will change. They just haven't changed for the better, (in my opinion), and when a band like Decapitated releases an album, you have 20 years of expectations leading up to it.
Of course it's not rap or techno, thank satan for that, but imagine you're used to eating cornflakes, but suddenly you have to eat rocks. It's a big change, but you're still eating.

Been into metal for about 20 years, and Decapitated is one of the only metal bands I still listen to. All of their music is good.
Beastly guitar tone, catchy groovin riffs, and some of the best soulful lead I've heard from Vogg yet (3:01). Head bobbin material right here. Keep it coming in this direction!

I just discovered this band yesterday morning. I can tell the modern era of this band has a much more accessible sound than when they first started. That doesn't mean this band sucks now. It's all good stuff.
If not you like what you hear, then go and form his own band and make music that you like to listen to.

Decapitated is one of those most out there adventurous bands in my eyes and ears ever. They never let you rest, they demand you jump up with them and put you on an endearing journey to soul and spirit for life anf fighting fortitude to never let go and keep on keeping on with whatever you need keeping on with. They are like Opeth with no rest, just when you think you need to, they will give you more, and then gojira's humanity-vibe and lamb of god's groovey/fun-time sensation. This is just my opinion anyway

Decapitated 2017 - still fucking great! Been listening to them since "Winds Of Creation" came out and I still think they are talented bastards! That riff at 3:44 made me grin like a kid at christmas who just got given everything on his christmas list. This is a band who can write Riffs that are subtly technical. Fuck the haters.

Earth Scar was only to be debut in Milan Records by Decapitated in part of this compilation album.
At least the song was put in place from Shikizakura and Resistance (2023 Film).

I've adored decapitated since my early teens when I first saw them live in 2004. I've watched them live over 50+ times and I'm so beyond proud of them. Yes they've changed their sound but why shouldn't they after being around so long? I'm just glad it's not a reggae album as Rafał keeps threatening me with one haha
