You can get 2 X96 X10 for that price.. which uses the same SoC... Love to see a review of that box (or more S928X boxes in particular) on your channel Chigz !
@@Nite-owl These types of devices are not aimed at people who want to use official streaming apps with poor lossy 5.1 audio. That can be installed on most smart TVs if needed. They are aimed at people who want to play their quality Remux media collections with full audio pass through of all audio codecs and image codecs. Which the latest Ugoos devices do very well.
This Box maybe made for those who might be feel restricted with optimised or "Google and Netflix certified" Box (I mean those who love tinkering) For me, even though that price but is just worth buy as I just love tinkering. Currently I watch or enjoy TV related online and offline using Laptop hooked to TV. With this device, I use it dedicated device for that. At least, it doesn't as sucks as cheapo Box 😅
Thanks for reviewing this too Chigz, very nice as always honest and detailed review, the Ram and storage is great too bad you don't get a Full widevine L1 experience, so I wonder if soon those powerful enough tv boxes can also support a Samsung Dex Wirelessly Like the way some older Laptops or mini pc could, then if you can't get a Widevine L1 on a box you can still connect wirelessly through Dex if you don't have a Hub or docking station. The features are good though and you can use root. Thanks...
Nice review. Android 11 heavily customised? That doesn’t bode well for future updates. SD Netflix and no Disney+ support rules it out. Audio support could be better. I’ll pass- I like to be able to use devices point to point- without them having got be on the same WiFi network (very handy for portability- also more memory than 64gb, SD card support is sooo handy). Might just link an old phone to my TV with a cable:)
Yeah unfortunately while specs are great SD quality just doesn't cut it at £150 i feel the second you see these custom launchers etc and not androidTV you just know it's limited, nice vid eitherway 👍
@@abamlong5064 Netflix is licensed separately from Android TV. The device should not only have the L1 Widevine but also a Netflix ESN number which is given together with Netflix's certification.
Good review. So much I bought one from Aliexpress. Had it a week. It's going back as not only is it full of ads, The screen keeps going blank! At a £165 I expected more.
Good review, overpriced for what its capable off. The Mecool KM2 + Deluxe still ticks all the boxes with me, just waiting for the android 12 update rolling out.
Yup, the Mecool KM2 Plus Deluxe is the one to beat. Interesting that it will get Android TV 12. 👍 If you're in the UK, we're you able to get BBC iPlayer and ITVx installed via the Google Play Store or did you side load it. Thanks.
Hey Chigz I don't understand one thing maybe you could help me please why would anybody want these so-called high-end Android boxes when a lot of the apps like RUclips Amazon Prime and Netflix don't support 4K or HDR 10 the only ones that do support everything or the Nvidia Shield or the Apple tv box so with these powerful specs to me it means nothing without the support from the apps.

As usual great review but a £150 is too expensive for what you get ...Chigz
Yes that's what I concluded.

Are there any suggestions for an Nvidia Shield replacement with all the features of it and Original Android TV launcher?
Hi Brother. I want to buy a tv box for gaming but I am between two tv boxes. Should I buy Sk1 tv box or H96 max v58? Would you please say.
You can install the HDR version of Netflix and play in 1080p I no because TV box stop already reviewed this box
UGOOS keeps making some awesome boxes but the price..
Awesome chigz..
😁😁😁👍👍👍
Why didn’t reviewer mention the AI upscaling for lower resolution images and that it plays Dolby vision, 7.1 True-HD Atmos and DTS-HD without issues.

Does this do 4k at 120hz let me know for gfn
Hmm.... Says Widevine L1 support on the box, and product description on their website though.
Have widevine L1, but not get acknowledge from Netflix or Google play store.
Cool 😎🤙🏼
Thanks but will stick with my Shield. Thanks for the review
Good choice
Well they haven’t fixed the HLG support issue so I doubt that you will see anymore support from Nvidia in the future for their five year old device.
Nice box but way overboard if your just using it for streaming....
