    Atlin Coffee giveaway:
    The good news is I acquired a couple of extra bags. The bad news is I cannot send one to everybody. You all deserve to taste it. These were courtesy of the Atlin Inn where we had our room. On the last day, they gave us a few extras which I packed up and took home. So for those that won, congrats! For the others, hopefully I can show my appreciation for following my channel another time. So here are the winners from the random draw:

    Love the blinkers Mr. MeMiner..hehe..That is a magnificent part of the world you live and play mate and one that we Aussies commonly have on our bucket lists..The Canadian gold reserves must be very healthy given the gold mining history there and I think our two countries share that type of history as well..Thanks again for the tour.

    • @meMiner
      @meMiner  5 лет назад

      There is quite a bit of gold in Canada, but much of it was affected by glaciers which narrows the opportunities for hand mining. As such, some of the best places are abandoned machine operations and find what they lost. I have never been to Australia, but it is on my bucket list.

      There was a great story by Dave McCracken about dredging in Atlin a number of years ago on one of his trips. I visited where he camped and found the small area of creek he dredged. He took out 80 lbs. It is a great read and is online for anybody that wants to search for it on Google.

      We flew and rented cars in both stopovers. It was a somewhat quick trip to see what is what, especially access and gear. Met up with Pauly in Victoria and then continued ourselves onto Whitehorse. I learned that the roads into the claims on the Island had two locked gates and I only had access this time to one of the keys. I also have claims in Atlin and checked them out while there. I am now ready to go back to do some serious prospecting.

    Hi
    Your blue green rock you tossed is malachite you called it something else and it appears to be weathered to a possible turquoise quality stone and amazingly you threw it away.
    Yes it is copper but where did it originate from in that area?
    Also it’s fun to hunt silver because it’s available in your East area but copper is way more valuable than silver because it’s value is based on a percentage per ton not a dozen nickels per gram. A 10% copper assay is over $500 per ton and malachite material like that could be 20-40% copper oxide and that me miner is serious money if the deposit is an undiscovered showing.
