Every 90’s kid should remember these! I remember begging my mom for Marvin’s magic markers for Christmas one year and when I got them I was so excited! Lol if I remember correctly they didn’t last long
Who would like this? Really? This is a GREAT product to share with a child just starting into drawing, creating and helping them to embrace thinking outside the box and just enjoy the fun process of creativity!!! And it would be great to do this as a parent child activity because they can see their parents being silly, creative and also enjoying art. I think this is a GREAT product!!!
I remember using something like these as a kid. Definitely fun to see an adult trying to use gimmicky kids’ markers to make art. It’s too bad that in 30 years they haven’t figured out how to make markers less streaky and blotchy. :)
Same. I was wondering if the white 'magic' marker ended up getting all discolored from being used over all the other markers like the set I had as a kid did. Ironically her teddybear drawing reminded me of another 90's toy, the Doodle Bear.
Alcohol-based markers are actually not streaky or blotchy! They can get pretty pricey though, as they’re more used by professional artists. They’re pretty awesome, definitely check them out!! The streaky, childhood markers we know and love are actually water-based markers.
@@lolok6338 I should have been more specific to say “kids’ markers” are still streaky after all these years. I own some alcohol markers and Posca paint pens and loads of tiny markers for adult coloring books and they are not streaky. But they also aren’t non toxic, so me and my 3 year old niece can’t use them together. We still have streaky markers that haven’t changed since I was her age over 34 years ago.

Not even 30 seconds in and I'm reminded of my 90s childhood... those double ended pens. One side with a white shape stamp and the other an ink. So when you color over the image it magically appear... much like when you use white crayon with watercolor.
I loved my magic pens when I was a kid. sad that you didn't experiment with using the white one first! it's so fun to see the drawing appearing as you paint. my brother used to make secret scavenger hunts for me (he would draw a scenery and hide the clues with the white pen, and I'd find them with the other marker and get the next clue). thank you for this video, it was really nostalgic

That was really good Moriah. I think you did really well with those yucky colours. I really liked the bear picture. It was deeply satisfying to watch the colours change. I can see why you stayed up so late doing it. I had pens like that when I was as a tween, (not a teen and not a kid, it was a difficult age lol) and I was so excited by those pens. They were new on the market and a great deal of fun! They only came with one white one in the cases back then. That was a really nice trip on the nostalgia bus for me remembering those pens, so thank you Moriah.

I'm not going to lie, I thought the background of the first one was the best part of that drawing in my opinion, I loved the scratchy blending and the unevenness as well as how intense the colors were

I used markers like these before with my siblings. It’s cool how you still made really cute art even with the limited colours. The desserts drawing was super colourful and the desserts were really cool, it was fun watching you add the details with the white pen. The bear was really cute and I really liked the different colours and patterns on the patches. I think you should do a video we’re you recreate these drawings but with the art supplies you normally use to colour drawings. 😁
These markers, where my CHILDHOOD! I completely forgot about them, but I loved them as a kid :') The ones I used where a different brand though, they where a better quality version.

She has in her info on every video where to message her at - and she may or may not even see your art or respond to your message. You have to request her PO box through an email and wait for them to respond. But you can take pictures of your art and send them to her (also in teh description).

I remember the markers being quick to dry out and become scratchy.. and the white markers would quickly become dirty and messy from going over the colors..

What a bast from the past! I remember playing with these as a kid. I think they are intended to be a toy more than a serious art supply. But I guess a great artist can make do with just about anything.

I used markers like these before with my siblings. It’s cool how you still made really cute art even with the limited colours. The desserts drawing was super colourful and the desserts were really cool, it was fun watching you add the details with the white pen. The bear was really cute and I really liked the different colours and patterns on the patches. I think you should do a video we’re you recreate these drawings but with the art supplies you normally use to colour drawings. 😁

@@MANGLORIOUS I’m am very aware that she is not opening fan mail anymore, but no hate at all sent to her but it is very rude to not be opening fans hard work that has been sitting around for years.
She has in her info on every video where to message her at - and she may or may not even see your art or respond to your message. You have to request her PO box through an email and wait for them to respond. But you can take pictures of your art and send them to her (also in teh description).

What a bast from the past! I remember playing with these as a kid. I think they are intended to be a toy more than a serious art supply. But I guess a great artist can make do with just about anything.
i’m sure somebody has already though of this, but it would be SO cool if you painted an entire wall. you could paint like a little part of the wall every once in a while and it could be a series of a wall in your art room. of course it might be a long shot, but i think that might be super cool 😂
