I don't get why people are saying it looks like shit. I'm amazed you got that very intricate pattern to translate onto the pedal as well as you did. Swirl painting is pretty unpredictable so nailing a result like this is kinda blowing my mind. Looks fucking deadly--what H.P. Lovecraft would have painted on his pedal if he were a hippie
I used Marabu Easy marble paints. They are ready to use for swirl without borax. The only thing you should be careful with is the clearcoat afterwards. The only one that worked well with this, was Automotive 2K clearcoat.
Beautiful. I'm thinking of hydro dipping something, just not sure if the paint is gonna end up smooth on that surface or bubbly and akward. On many videos I've seen the end result looks nice in terms of colors and very rough in terms of surface smoothness. Maybe several coats of clear coat can smooth that out. Will try on scrap plastic. Of course, I alway sand plastic and use plastic primer before even thinking of painting anything. I like this design though, not your average random swirl, very nice. :)

Myself with the abuse the peddles may get Underfoot, I liked it alot. I keep mine if I buy Em. Pick up some pretty good stuff at the pawn Shop, recycle and customize.

nice job! hey, im using a marble paint as well, but mine forms a "skin" very quick. and is difficult to swirl with a needle is it normal? in ur case seems that u have some time to work on it... cheers

Are you using that basic kit, or do I need to get some special paint? Also are you coating the pedal in anything before hand?
i disagree with you...what you think is neutral is positive for those who disagree! if it was just to be mean then it would be different but its not....some of his stuff is good and some of it is not at all! i think telling people they dont exist and that positive and negative arent really defined...is pretty much how things get really screwwed up! not a good idea! i like your hair in that photo by the way! that was not a rip at you...i like the hair...
yeapp! I think was too warm first time I've tried. now, Almost perfect, BUT, I noticed that the little water droplets that remains on the surface after immersing in water, left some spot marks. I've tried to blow them off with a hair dryer but didn't work. did u have this? cheers

You should pay attention at the water temperature. 25' C is ok and the air at the room you make the swirl, helps the paint to dry faster.

The base coat at these colors will help you only to the blank spots, so you can't see aluminium
