    Happy new year to you.
    Never tried sharpening an end mill on the surface grinder but it occurs to me if you rotated the mill a few degrees, looking from the top, you could grind with a slight concavity at the end as per a new grind.

      Indeed. That was going to be my reply if anybody commented that the end should be slightly concave!

    It works! I've never seen an indexing fixture like that are those holes in the side for closing the chuck jaws?.

      Have you tried it? Yes, a bar is used in the holes to tighten/loosen the Marlco multisize (or "Multibore") collet.

      No I haven't tried it, although on my mind is a way to grind spiral milling cutters for the horizontal mill on the surface grinder. likely with a cup wheel and some stand-in for a work head.
