I would say, this was on par with the supercharger incident because you were sick. The BFG9000 has a misfire chance based on recoil and you can fire it only every other round. Maybe rebuild and try again. Just my 2cents. I liked the earlier video with the Omega in action, taking heavy fire, while firing from behind. Was very immersive.
One suggestion for the Omega. If you can find the pilot Braver, once he gets to focus fire, he can negate all the recoil of the BFG, and therefore make the weapon safe. (I have Braver, tested it today. Though it means pulling him off my Dragoon and the rotary 20 it has.) So keep it around, don't scrap it.
I'm guessing you could do that 1 special mission somewhere far south on the map that gives you an entire Bull shark instead of risking your pilot vaporizing with the Omega(BS there was no warning)?
Yeah I'm thinking the Omega is pretty much cooked for now lol, I was expecting some sort of crit warning or progressive damage to take place, but then again it DID say there was that non-zero chance for explosions lol. The Bull Shark would be a nice unit to have ngl, our biggest restrictor however is cash since that's (once again) on the other side of the galaxy lol
@@soulstrumlp9517 maybe reloading, & selling a mint Omega would speed up the process, you're still not done farming the Bears, just stick with blackouts being more cash than salvage since those are the only ones really paying out, & raid some convoys for guns, you'll most likely get JES' along with other gun boats loaded with what you need.
Aside from not being able to rework the marvels of pirate engineering, & probably selling it off since it's just collecting dust at this point you can invest more into the McBane, Mad-2 with the spare bits to perfect? If you replay that mission put the L-K up somewhere high next to the base & camp, it has the greatest reach of all your mechs to support, you could even leave the noob Archer nearby as bait for units that spawn behind.
I used a Omega about as much as you did and I junked it. There are better mechs will much more reliable damage output and less risky. I never lost a pilot to a Omega, but every mission was a BFG9000 crit or 2 and rarely got any hits. I'm thinking you should cut your losses and just rebuild a solid damage dealer.....LRM spam or dakka dakka

RNG Jeeeeeezus! Done you like Diddy. 😊
Sorry about your pilot.
Such is the risk of riding a MacGrubered death machine strapped around a nuclear fission core lol
Got to love stray railgun shots connecting with an enemy you weren't necessarily worried about. Still not a fan of the BFG9000.
I wasn't aware of the level of fail that the BFG could possibly have? You are more than welcome to mulligan this round, I would not fault you LMAO!

I have had it crit and hurt the pilot, never had the pilot die, or the core explosion before.
I used that mech one fight and first shot did the exact same thing, it was sold immediately>

I like to play orcs in warhammer, so it is not so bad
Green really is da best :p
IJ has been setting you up for a couple missions. Now the question is, is IJ just getting started or too busy giggling?
Only time will tell
