these came out awesome (obvioulsy) but i do have a suggestion. rather than attaching the bloody skin to the inside arm of the coveralls, i would attach it to a compression sleeve or something that you could slip onto your arm underneath the coveralls, that way the sleeve of the coveralls and the arm skin move independently of each other like they would in real life. just a thought.
U used this method to make some H40 coveralls for this years Halloween and it worked like a dream. Came out perfect!!! Thank you! I came back to your video multiple times
Just a quick reminder. The two "Bullet holes" on the bottom of the coveralls are actually not bullet holes. They're actually stab wounds that Michael endured after he grabs the shotgun out of Allyson's hand and She stabbed him 3 times in the gut where the holes should be. Michael was also stabbed in the back of the neck by Karen so there should be a hole in the back of the neck on the coveralls. Just wanted to get that out there
Imagine planning halloween for a year... Setting it all up....and then..... You're ill with fever and can't go anywhere...... Welcome to my life. Now all I can do is watch Halloween on television. Ffs
@CosplayChris Hello there.... I've recently found you on Utube and have been watching your Utube tutorials while I work. Im now officially obsessed lol. I work as a Character Scare Actor for a huge annual event every October in the UK. I just wanted to say that your Michael Myers tutorials have been an absolute inspiration to me. The advice and help you have shared has honestly helped me produce a look that I am truly blown away by. Ive done it all from the ground up. Last October 2022, I was Jason Voorhees from FVJ. I blacked out my eyes with make up every night for 10 nights. I never thought for one minute how simple it was to use black tights like you suggested underneath masks. Genius!!! The latexing burnt effect on the Hkills coveralls is outstanding also. You also gave me the balls to rehaul/ weather my Hkills ToTs mask and knife. The end results are breathtaking. I've sent the Trinity scares 2023 team my costume test fit footage for this years Michael Myers portrayal, and they are equally as blown away. I just wanted to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU CHRIS. You're a true inspiration. I thought I was good, but damn dude, you are incredible. Is there anywhere I can post pictures? Thanks again.
The funny thing about the coveralls looking how they do in the movie being a little glossy on the burned areas is that it would not in reality look like that. They are fire retardant coveralls which means they are not made from synthetic fibers that melt and become shiny plastic sheet essentially they would char discolor to brownish and fray more like the bullet holes he put in. (Source i am a welder and wear these exact coveralls at my job) That said he nailed the look from the movie. Very well done. I would have applied a layer of the blood mix from the inside so it soaked through for the bullet holes in addition to the external blood but thats just personal preference.
When I did my Michael Myers cosplay last year. I did the Halloween kills version and got coveralls and took it outside and put the right amount of gunshots and where they were to make it perfect and added a little bit of grease, weathering, and fake blood to make it perfect. Your tutorial is wonderful and I like the many ways there are to make a Michael Myers
Looks good, I’d have definitely added in some brown weathering to the overalls. Motor Oil isn’t always just black and added brown will help sell the weathering even more. Nice jumping off point for people to reference though.
Watch your videos all the time and now i’m popping in because i have covid and needed something to lift my spirits. Thanks chris for always cheering me up.
Looks amazing Chris I’m really proud that Legion went through with those replica coveralls, I was one of the main ones that was really pushing them to see if they could do them because I kept saying tons of people will be interested. Then not too long after they contacted me saying they got a hold of Chicago Protective Apparel and that they were going to be a reality. Lol One more thing Chris, you should remove the male and female snaps on the sleeves. I wouldn’t even of noticed until those last few shots because the replicas have slightly larger snaps they stand out a bit more. Looks fantastic great job and that’s very clever on the sleeve on my version I have to put make up on my arm so this is definitely a cleaner option doing what you did. Very nice! 🎃🔪
just gonna say this helps a lot with my coveralls I would have never thought to use a sponge and just dab the paint on to the coveralls and the blood effect is just perfect but overall thanks chris and i hope your having a cracker of a day

😮 man some day I want to replicate this suit Chris ur skills are amazing as a beginner prop maker I look up to you and your amazing collection I've done a pretty decent Halloween one myers cosplay but this is on another level 👌
I'm a female cosplayer and I cosplay as Michael Myers H40. As a female, of course, I don't have that same muscle mass as a man. Is there any product or way I can put maybe like padding underneath the coveralls just to add in that muscle mass??
I’m about to purchase some version 2 workrites from legion safety, and realized how easy this would be to overhaul them of course there will be trial and error, but this looks pretty fun to do.
I love all the effects. It’s cool that he fits into it pretty well, but as someone with a leaner build, I’m wondering if there’s a chance it can shrink in the wash and dry?
@CosplayChris - Where did you find the materials to apply on the coveralls? I thought about doing this but my parents were not approved for me to destroy those valuable coveralls like if I was Michael Myers in HALLOWEEN Kills and also how do you poke holes for the bullet holes and the pitchfork in the back?
Hearing that punch in the beginning got me so excited! Chris! This came out so damn good! I think I would actually run away from you if you wore this I'm my neighborhood 🤣
hey man i’m getting the green jumpsuit for a screen accurate halloween 1978 movie i wanted to know if u can give me any tips on how to make them look worn down and weathered ?
Yes, it looks like he did, as well as they did in the movie look for wide piece Velcro, and apply the negative facing out on one side of the mask, and the positive side on the inside of other side of the mask (the side that your dominant hand would be on. So the mask would have a secure fit while no Velcro is visible.
Excelente trabajo amigo felicitaciones, una pregunta en mi país México no hay dulux duramax, qué otro podría usar para convinar con el duplicolor (este duplicolor si hay acá jejeje) por tu ayuda muchas gracias.
How i do the burns, on an even cheaper side lol, I take paper and I put it inside of a candle, and I burn it and the ashes mix in with the melted candle wax and then I dip a brush into it and put it all over how you did with the sponge and it's pretty similar in the effect 🤘🏼🎃🤘🏼🔪

What did you use over your face to help shield your skin from sticking out on the mask? I'd rather something like that then using makeup and getting it on the mask.
Can’t find the duramax red box paint ANYWHERE!! Lol. Where can I get this in the states or is there an alternate enamel you’d recommend. I love the look you created and trying to replicate that
Excellent job, Chris! Can they still be washed? Also, should they be reinforced around the bullet holes and slash to prevent further ripping of the fabric?
