Oh! That sounds amazing! I find sewing rather stressful but extremely rewarding. I am learning how to manage my stress better so that I can be more efficient. Thank you so much! Happy New Year! 🥳😘💖
Hahaha, thank you! 💖 I hope you had a happy holiday season too! We don't really celebrate Halloween here and definitely not Thanksgiving but I always love seeing all of you in the US celebrating and having fun 🥳💕😊
Thank you Pandora! 😘 Happy New Year to you too! 🥳 It is good to be back! I had a very rough second half to 2023 but I feel like there was a lot of growth happening too. I am excited to see what 2024 brings! Hope you have been well 💕
@@DeanReen Also, just saying Dean, I really don't think you ruined that vintage Barbie fashion, it can be put back together with just hand sewing. I've had to do that with eBay purchases.
I like your hair change from the beginning of the video and the end of the video. Oh wow, those outfits are amazing. I liked the day outfit. The evening is giving an award show vibe.
Ahhh the 80's!!! Pink and black polka dots and peplums!!! SO my era!!! 😜 Genius idea to use the tulle overlay... SO 'Haute Couture!!!' Reminds me of what the great couturier Emanuel Ungaro used to design back then. And terrific job fitting the jacket. Love how you make patterns from the vintage items and showing the process step-by-step. LOL @ knocking the camera over! So wonderful making one of your 'dream' outfits, (add that to our 'Mattel What If' list! 😜 And Mattel REALLY should have created this outfit for Day-to-Night Barbie!!!)
It is funny how the 80s seemed to linger on into the 90s. I just looked up Emanuel Ungaro and you are so right. Thank you Spagbol! 💕 I had altered it so much I started to wonder if I should have just made a pattern from scratch 😂 It is actually very rewarding to be able to make stuff I always wanted for Barbie. But most of the fun (and stress) is in the creative process. It then just sits on a shelf gathering dust 😬
Yes, the 80's never really left Barbie world in particular throughout most of the 90's, didn't they? I remember the 90's didn't really kick in when it came to the fashion industry till around 1993 with grunge, the waifs, minimalism etc... but the 80's were still everywhere else IRL. Barbie borrowed ALOT from Ungaro back then. Especially with those fitted peplum suits with puffed sleeves and those sexy draped dresses. And yes, it's all in the creating and doing, I guess! 😊
Can you please send the link to the Peaches and Cream and Day to Night patterns that you found on Pinterest? I can't find them. By the way, nice work! You inspired me to try and sew for my dolls :)
I might have bought that one, I'm not sure. I can't find any saved links for it on my computer. Sometimes they can be hard to find and you will have to click on a million different links before you get taken to a full pattern download. It is "McCall's 2207". I have added some links for pattern sources in the description for you. Thank you so much for watching! I am glad I have inspired you to start sewing! 💖🥰😘🎉
Beautifully done! So well made and both models you chose look amazing in the design! 🤩💜
Thank you so much! 💖😘💕
