I'm so glad I discovered your channel. Your reading preferences match with mine so naturally I enjoy the stuff you recommend and read yourself. Thank you!!!
My current obsessions: (All GL) - Even though we're adults - Flores azules (Spanish for "Sweet blue flowers) - Female General and Eldest Daughter (Light Novel)
'That Time the Manga Editor Started a New Life in the Countryside' sounds veryy similar to 'Country Diary' by Aya Isino. I honestly thought you are showing Country Diary for a second, especially since the character designs seem similar. I loved Country Diary! It was so wholesome and fun to read. The difference to the title you picked up is that the main character was a professor at university and that the title is BL-coded (at least that's what I read into it.) I would 100% recommend it, but sadly there is no English release as far as I know :(( Just in case you speak French, it is published in French. I really hope it comes out in English. I can totally understand how tempting it is to buy e-books when they are so cheap. I mean... 1$ for a book? Sure! But since my e-reader is soo slow when turning pages of manga, I stick to novels on it. I'm also super interested in 'The kamogawa food detectives', but I was shocked by the price for such a thin book. But I just realised that my library has it, so I will check it out there :)
Country Diary sounds like such a good read! Thanks for telling me about it! Hopefully, it does get an English release soon, it looks like my kind of read! ‘The Kamogawa Food Detectives’ is worth checking out from your library! It’s a cozy read! Thanks for watching! :)
I LOVE THE POWERPOINT TRANSITIONS AT THE START. If you like BL coded stories then I must recommend Tokyo Aliens and my beloved, my favourite cancelled manga series; Can’t Stop Cursing You. Tokyo Aliens is about a group trying to stop aliens in Tokyo, but some of the stories are so wholesome and I love it. CSCY IS AMAZING MORE PEOPLE NEED TO APPRECIATE IT!!! I am feral for this series, it’s a bit dark but also silly and I love the art and the characters and why is it only 4 volumes? Ugh, anyway I’ll stop rambling but I love CSCY. Kino’s Journey gave me flashbacks to being 14 my lord. I love Keiichi Sigsawa’s works, I was introduced to him through SAO and I really should read more of his work. I finished Red Bean Paste this week and I loved it. It was so emotional, I have recommended it my friends and one has started to read it. Such a great read, even if it was heavy
Yes, I've heard so much about Tokyo Aliens when it first came out! I didn't know that the story is BL-coded, so I'll have to check it out sometime! I also didn't know that CSCY was cancelled, I haven't read any of it but I think my library has some copies! Kino’s Journey will be my first dive into any of Keiichi Sigawa’s works, and I’m looking forward to it, glad to hear his stuff is good! I’m so glad that you enjoyed Red Bean Paste, it’s one of my favorite stories. I hope that your friend also enjoys it! :)
