Fantastic video, AI has done a wonderful job on your already great filming, know all those places well, I was nearly running around as a 13 year old kid again, thank you
Between 1980 - 88 I spent many hours behind these locos when newly converted, as they worked the Glasgow-Edinburgh push-pull shuttles. They always sounded amazing powering out of Glasgow Queen St and up the Cowlairs bank. It was great to see them again in later years - in the smart NSE livery - working out their time on the Waterloo - Exeter services. This gave them a much better run and managing the more varied gradients on this line. Strange they did not use the push-pull facility as fitted, as it would have saved time and number of locos required at Waterloo and running round at Exeter SD. Thhnks for filming and sharing this.
I rsmember well the Brush 4s in 1962 and beyond, very handsome locos with a wonderful sounding sulzer engine, they still look great in 2024. I saw D1663 na,ed as SirDaniel Gooch at Paddington , i also love D1733 in experimental blue livery.
Love the 47s

The 47/7s were pretty knackered by then, and thrashing them to death on this route didnt help 😂 Up until about 1988 47s were pretty rare on that line
Yes well past their best, as with most things that were cascaded to the line
👏👏👏
Belter of a video
